  1. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 10:28 PM) So Bonser pitches over his head, the ump squeezes Floyd, we get bad bounces, and barely miss tying the game by 6 in. I hate this s***. dont forget the run that we gave the twins in the 4th
  2. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 10:26 PM) Wow. ^^
  3. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 10:24 PM) This is the byproduct of his leading off. He's so focused on taking pitches/walks that he's not swinging the bat. you may be right...but taking pitches and walking is something swisher has done his entire career...i would hope he hasnt really changed his approach
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 10:23 PM) Orlando with the worst at-bat I've ever seen in my life. lol there have been like 3 this game just as bad...dye twice, quentin once
  5. swisher has only 2 doubles this year...basically on pace for 12...he hit 36 last year....wtf
  6. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 10:18 PM) time to steal one we better get at least 1 run this inning...cuz i dont know that we can get 2 off of nathan
  7. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 10:10 PM) Daniel Cabrera, Justin Verlander, Jeremy Guthrie. Hard throwing righties don't do so well against us, because of our one-dimensional approach. Look fastball, See fastball, Hit fastball. cabreras not the best example seeing as how he pitched like 7 innings of 1 run ball yesterday, even though if we had any 2 out hitting we woulda rocked him
  8. goddamn...i have no idea how uribe even made that moderately close
  9. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 10:06 PM) that run OC and AJ gave the twins is looming large right now ehren "poor mans pat neshek" wasserman in... damnit twins announcers took it outa my mouth
  10. that run OC and AJ gave the twins is looming large right now
  11. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 10:03 PM) we arent picking up his curveball at ALL...crede took that curve in the dirt like it was gonna be an inside fastball yeah except that one
  12. we arent picking up his curveball at ALL...crede took that curve in the dirt like it was gonna be an inside fastball
  13. thats as bad as an AB from carlos as weve seen maybe all year.... the chamberlain AB was bad too
  14. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 09:59 PM) AJ swung at ball 3. and ball 4...its amazing how many ABs he and uribe give away swinging at bad pitches and ball5
  15. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 09:55 PM) Interesting night by Floyd. If when he's off, he's like this...the staff looks great. yep....hes done a great job at keeping us in games when he hasnt pitched his best...ive been cautious in getting excited about gavin..but he has shown a 4 plus pitches..if like fathom said, he can command his fastball hes gonna be pretty good
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 09:54 PM) The next step for Gavin is to get better command of his fastball. He's making a lot of hitters miss on his offspeed stuff. yeah he didnt have his good control tonight ....either way its nice to see floyd with a QS even though he didnt have his good control...another solid outing from him...hes given us a chance to win every game so far this year
  17. i love the patience our team has had this year but coming into this game you have to know that the twins arent gonna walk anyone...and its really frustrating watching us taking strike 1 with fastballs right down the middle
  18. ron coomer has said "jerkin it" 3 times tonight and i have laughed each time
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 09:44 PM) For the first half, we were awesome. my memory escapes me, but i thought we hit well in the secodn half too....at least i remember thinking we only lost cuz buerhle and contreras were horrendous...but you could be correct...i just remember dye konerko and thome were all very very good and crede had his silver slugger year
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 09:42 PM) Their offense has been pitiful since 2003. we raked in 2006...
  21. nice inning from gavin there...maybe he can get through 6 after all
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 09:37 PM) For the one millionth time, I don't give a s*** how Garland does. It's all about what type of package we could have received for him. As of now, it's been a massive flop. Terrible offense and terrible defense from a one year rental. OC i think will heat up some offensively...but you are right, i was expecting much more defensively.....i think most sox fans got spoiled with uribe out there...for as bad as juan is offensively...he was truly a great defensive shortstop edit: to finish taht thought....uribes worst year on defense was way better than this year by OC...how OC won a GG and not uribe or john macdonald i dunno...especially if this is how OC was last year
  23. i think those cueto and pedro comparisons have cooled off a bit huh
  24. damnit floyd with 80 pitches already...it would be nice to get at least 6 out of him considering masset is pitching tomorrow...
