  1. I remember about two that have been messed up, but I don't have the stats in front of me. I think he's an average bunter in the sense that he gets it done more often then not. A great bunter gets it done 9 out of 10 times. s***, Sox almost throgh him out. s***, you watch Alomar bunt. What the hell does speed have to do with being a good sacrafice bunter. He gets them down more often then not, as does Olivo. I am sorry Yas but you're so wrong on with this "2 bunts" thing and I personally would have been humbled if my memory wasn't working instead of being "sure". Look over the logs. 9 out of 10? What the f*** are you talking about- he only had 6 attempts. Are you gonna hold that against him too? When Jimenez and Harris blow 3 bunts in one game, you're gonna stick to technicalities? Does Jose have to execute every.single.bunt perfectly to be a "good" bunter? Or is it great or none at all type deal? You tell me. As far as Olivo goes, you're wong again- I GUARANTEE YOU HE HAS MORE than 1 missed so far and HSC will back me up on this. Alomar? That is in the realm of "unbelievable", you're so off. Just because he is 2 for 2 or some such, don't mean s***. Rowand? He is like 1 for 3 or something this year...Surreal (I know you hate Jose but twisting facts won't get you anywhere and that condescending "Ummm..." is not appreciated one bit)
  2. You're wrong on this, Jas: so far this season, Jose has gotten the job done bunting 5 out 6 times., including an infield single. Would have been 6 out 6 but the ump called him out on a close play at 1st, remember? Olivo has missed 2 or 3 bunts thus far this season and Alomar is a slow joke. Please don't make these statements if you are guessing. As far as Harris goes, when you blow 2 bunts in one crucial game, you're automatically disqualified.
  3. Val is there too in this game...he cant hit... What part of "noone but Frank" don't you understand, cocksucker? That includes Val as well.
  4. f***ing Koch got Wrightatis,,,hanging 0-2 curve I bet they bunt him over.
  5. This team is a joke: outside of Valentin, noone can't bunt....and outside of Thomas, noone can hit. RISP? Putrid.
  6. Willie gets a SB....hooray for the "gamble" !
  7. Another bewtiful bunt execution....like I said, "little things" are overrated. Will anyone even remember tommorow how many chances we blew this game?
  8. He is worse than Borchard in that respect....to be fair, he had NO chance of making it to second.
  9. 1. It's a single, too. 2. Boston has the ability/killer instinct to string 5-6 hits together, so if don't put them away right now, I could easily see us being blown out 10-3-style in extra innings.
  10. It's called: 1. Not picking up the pitch (location, velocity and rotation) early. 2. No having great mechanics to adjust mid-swing even after recognizing it late. 3. Being greedy and overswinging, which combined with 1-2 lowers the likelyhood of a fat part of the bat striking the ball just in front of the plate to about 10-15% To be fair, all Sox hitters have been guilty of that ALL SEASON LONG, including Frank. When you don't hammer mistakes, you're f***ed.
  11. Considering that he still had a chance (albeit an outside one) for a DP or at least a FO at second, which would have pertty much given Wright some room for error in addition to less outs to work with...I have no trouble whatsoever calling it a 3-run error. Which pretty much disqualifies this game as "one of the better" as far as defense is concerned. YMMV.
  12. About a month ago there was a "Konerko is the worst player in baseball" thread....Guess who started it? Of course that degenerative hip condition and an 8 Mill tag don't help his case.
  13. Yes, bunting is SO easy ANYONE could do it....and DJ is so good at fundamentals, he just doesn't steal a lot Meanwhile Sox are giving BoSox every f***in' chance to steal this game.
  14. WILLLIE....made 3 plays in just 2 games that f*** Rios doesn't come close to making...and if you count that dive he almost made Tuesday- 4. In just 2 games. There is another lesson: OF range saves runs.
  15. There's the lesson: good running is not only SB and flashy stuff...but it's also Lee getting a good jump on Val's grounder to f*** with Walker's mind and it's Val busting his ass to 1st on another grounder, which messed Garciappara up for a split second...Both plays will not show up in stats, but a run scored because of them...and if Crede doesn't smack two liners right at people, Sox will probably be up 6-3 by now no small thinks to putting pressuer on defense with baserunning. Josh Paul, with above average speed, puts just enough pressure on the pitcher, who throws wild of 2nd...runner on 0 out That's 3 small ball plays in just one game that early seson slow Soxdo NOT get...
  16. Garciaparra'a 11th error gets the run in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. This is the major leagues. 1st and 2nd with 1 out isn't a good situation, but you've GOT to be able to throw strikes and get out of the jam. Not that I don't agree with "Wright is a loser" part of your comment, mind you.... but let me get this straight: Jose 9 errors cost the Sox 3 runs all year long and he is "terrible"...but should Crede or Jimenez (today and in Oakland respectively) commit a 3-run error in one inning, they are somehow excused--and he is considering next to no backlash--because the pitcher behind him sucks ass?! WTF is this Twighlight Zone ep or what?
  18. Royce could only dream of 740 OPS...
  19. You'll be surpsied what the difference is between "1 on 1st and 2 out" and "2 on 1 out" is as far as a young pitcher--any pitcher-- psyche is concerned. (Both Crede and especially Jimenez have been twice the butchers Jose has been this season and that's a FACT. Yet you woudn't know it jusging by fans' responses)
  20. Is it: A. Not trusting your stuff B. Which you don't have to begin with C. Being aftraid of the bat D. Being a smartass and nibbling D. Not giving a damn Z. All of the above
  21. Crede with a botched DP (or at least a forceout) that costs the Sox 3 runs (same as Jose's 9 errors.... combined).....and noone says a word, let alone anything of snide variety. Hypocrisy is sickening.
  22. Danny Wright has always been and will always be a loser, ahead on virtually every hitter and once again falling behind and serving up mistakes that get hammered. Usually it's homers, but today a single was enough.. Does he not know that nibbling doesn't work? Didn't Garland/Wells/Parque/Rauch experiment not teach him anything? With his fastball, curve and change, he should be unhittable on 0-2/1-2 counts...
  23. I am glad you decided to admit you're wrong. Finally...is that a 1st for you?
  24. Ahhh shaddup and read my additional posts on the matter.. Don't you fly off the handle on me, missy.
  25. How about a "really sick and vile person"? Would that be accurate enough? As far as the specific charge counts go, we all know that unless the prosecuter/states attorney deems it strategically prudent to file a statutary violation, a crime hasn't been committed kinda like the judicial version of the "if the tree falls and noone is there....".....Afterall, Kenneth Lay was initially brought in on obstruction of justice, though it was far from the full extent of his crimes... I am sorry, but given the contents of the tape (and do we really belive it was an isolated incident? Common nah), I don't see how anyone with a grasp of right&wrong could cry "slander".....especially considering the legal definition of a "statutory rape"... Pardon me for being such a big racist.
