  1. I think the whole is hysterical. Not shameful at all. Too bad Magglio wasn't in the drop-kicking mood. He is due.
  2. How crazy will it be if a couple more fellers run out on the field tomorrow, though? And entertaining too...as long as noone's hurt of course. [Jay Leno] Two things you can't stop: 50 nuclear Ruskie missiles heading for NYC and Sox fans trespassing at the Cell.
  3. Between Frank, Maggs, Lee and Konerko, how many opposte field hits? If I have to see yet another outside pitch pulled to SS I am going to charge the field myself...hypothetically speaking of couse. I also wish Maggio would realize that he is an inferior HR (and overall) hitter to Sammy Sosa, always was and always will be. It's embarassing to see our best hitter swing through so many pitches. The HR Derby win was the worst thing that happened to him and he now is starting to believe his own hype. 3 f***ing walks? Next year the fool will be making Sammy's money. He better start having 1100-OPS, 150-RBI seasons very soon.
  4. Unless that player is Clayton or Corey Patterson, and it is me who is doing the ass-whopping.
  5. Umpire, Cap, Blue Uniform All Survive Assasination Attempt or Hordes of Vampires Consume a Helpless Bystander at the Cell
  6. You're right, he was clearly just offering a sloppy one.
  7. You should have seen the look on that redneck's face...the play was in front of him but he was too "that's not the was I saw it...beyotch!" about it. Then again, Sox deserved to lose thr game. I am semi-glad.
  8. I thought the cocksucker umpire was sticking it to the Sox. Maybe it's paranoia on my part, but Sox are disliked in AL, and with one of their own being attacked just an inning ago...
  9. Left under the pile of latter-inning s***ty misplays is Carlos Lee running through (presumably because no one in his right mind would signal "go") the sign with 1 out. Could have blown the game wide open right there. Damn that shinny, pretty hotdog wrapper... I hate Billy Koch. What a cocky, dumb pitcher.
  10. Dabak Ks on ball 3. Nice try, hero. Jimenez Ks on a close call. Rios get CS trying to steal 3rd with Jose up and clearly signaling "don;t go". Oh, well. Royals win!
  11. Bulls***, Sox fans are either working class momos who can't spend on games or live in Far Suburbia. Sox weren't drawing in the last 7-8 years. Part of the reason why this is a sorry franchise that teases with success and then underachives is low payroll...Sox need to start drawing 2.8M fans a year on regular basis. I am tired of this s***. Hell yeah it was funny. I saw something was happening before WCIU went into commercials and my mind started to conjure all sorts of outlandish scenarios...lol BTW I found out that Koch gave up a homer while switching to Baseball Tonight to see if they would run something...like literally a second later. At first I thought "6-5 KC" was a mistake.
  12. Streakers coming out of the woodworks crazy-style, attacking umpires ...it's been, what 6 people in the last 2 games at the Cell. ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!
  13. Nice jump, Paulie...nice catch Paulie... 4-4
  14. Clutch...something Flash will never be.
  15. Yeah, but Bonds has a surreal batspeed. Asking for Konerko's (or Lee's or Magg's) is not too much. Both Thomas and Konrko are looking terrible against bad pitchers like Arsenio and whonot.
  16. would have Hurt's eye and Konerko's batspeed. As it stands the former can't handle an 88-mhp fastball down the middle and the latter doesn't know an ear-high inside curveball from a slider low-n-away. f***.
  17. Why don't you go case by case basis- they are all either franchise players and fan favorites (Maggs, Buerhle)...really cheap starters with All-Star potential (Crede, Jimenez)...A-type pitching prospects who will be cheap for a long time (Rauch, Honel, Diaz, Cotts)...flashy rookies one of whom was also paid huge bonus and advertised as the next coming of McGwire (Olivo and Borchard...yes, they will be making minimum wage for 2-3 years, why do you ask?). I think the Sox would need to have a really good offer to part with some of those guys. Guerrero-type offer. You're right, "untouchable" is too strong a word. How's "semi-untouchable"?
  18. You mean he knows how to have almost as many CS as SB's? How to not hit for power? How to stink in 5 of 6 AA and lower seasons? How to be a terrible fielding 2B-man that makes Jose Valentin look like a Gold Glover? With new and improved Tony Graffanino, I don't see why anyone is even talking about Lil' Popeye anymore. Not when you have Willie Harris, Borchard, Rauch, Diaz, Almonte, Munoz, 6'7'' Scott Morgan, Gload, etc
  19. Stone? Nah, I am more of a marble person.
  20. So you'd rather have Frank here than Maggs who is just entering his prime? There are only a few untouchables in this franchise and Maggs is one of them (Rauch, Diaz, Honel, Borchard, Crede, Jimenez, Buerhle, Colon, Olivo, Cotts are the other)
  21. For some teams it wouldn't be enough (Cubbies, Dodgers, Mets, Rockies, etc), but since we lucked out with Burhle, Marte, DJ, Crede, etc 75 million was what I was tihnking about 2-3 years ago. Too bad our attendance sucks, teams underachive and JR has an excuse not to spend.
  22. It either-or, not all of them. Relax. Jose is my favorite Vait Sok and Lee was one of my favorite prospects 3 years ago. Alas, if we are to sign King Vladimir, 10 million+ needs to be freed up even if we make playoffs this year. And I want to see Colon, B-man and Maggs stay... JR made the [payroll] rules, not me. Konerko and Lee sucking it up on O and D. are sure making this decision easier, though.
  23. Konerko makes 8 Mill and Lee will make close to that if he has a semi-break-out year. Tejada will cost 10-12 million while Valentin might give the Sox discount for the option year (say 4M). Hurt is either a wash-up dead weight (me) or has a 2000type season and becomes free agent/demands 10+ mill. With Konerko/Valentin/Lee and Thomas gone, 15-18 Million is freed up. GUerrero is young, healthy and can play borth center and right. Tejada will make the same money but is much slower and isn;t as good.
  24. Wouldn't mind having him on the Sox. Bye-bye Thomas, Karlos/Conerko. I'd rather have him than Tejada. Thoughts?
