I hope it's that he just doesn't want to play anymore and not something more serious.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 15, 2016 -> 08:44 AM) I know the league can change drastically from year to year, but I would have to imagine the AFC South is the easiest matchup of the 4 AFC divisions. Also they play the NFC East. I don't really see any of those teams making a huge jump in play. Cowboys could be ok if Romo stays healthy. If you had to pick the worst division in each conference in would probably be AFC South and NFC East.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 05:55 PM) I'd be pretty disappointed if this team was mediocre next year. Good linebackers, good rush linebackers, a QB, two young RB's who run hard, White will be back. Also, check their opponents. They will be unlucky to win less than 10 games The schedule this year for the NFC North is the complete opposite of last year. Packers toughest non division road opponent is probably the Redskins. Last year they played the two super bowl teams on the road back to back.

@ByRyanWood BREAKING: B.J. Raji plans to retire from football, per source with knowledge of his plans. #Packers are aware of his decision. Raji really had an up and down career, but we will always have that INT in the playoffs.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 10:35 AM) I feel the exact opposite about Ragland. He doesn't have the speed in coverage like Lee, but probably does everything else better. Sure tackler, great pass rusher from the middle or outside. Also great against the run. He fits the Packers well because they rarely ask their ILB to cover man to man, so would be dropping into zone coverage more. Also Ragland was the QB of that Alabama defense. Which is a very complicated defense. He starts from day 1 in the NFL.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 09:18 AM) I loves me some Jarran Reed. Depending on who is there, I really wouldn't mind the Bears taking him at 11. Yeah, I could see him going that early. He is one of the guys that people don't know where he will be drafted. Some say early first round and some late first round.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 08:32 AM) I don't think Lee gets out of the top 20. Packers may have a good DL or solid pass rusher on the board though. Yeah I don't think Lee falls to them, not with that speed. I really like Jarran Reed and Kevin Dodd.

I hope teams like the Bears signing ILB helps Darron Lee fall in the draft a little bit. He is starting to become my favorite player in this draft. Reggie Ragland as well.
-
I saw the Bears were showing some interest in Scott Tolzien. I think he would be a really good back up. Showed a lot of improvement the past two years. Packers would never let him go if they didn't have Brett Hundley.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Mar 11, 2016 -> 10:02 AM) FWIW, Freeman was PFFs 2nd ranked ILB, while Trev ranked 6th. They also had Lawrence Timmons ranked as the 56th best ILB last year. Which is crazy. I like PFF, but I'm not sure how they rate linebackers.
-
Trevathan and Freeman would be a big upgrade from last year, but best in league is a bit much. Free agent ILB aren't getting near the money I thought they would.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 10:55 PM) What are we missing here? Does the rest of the league think he was overrated? That seems like a steal? On a sidenote, why the f*** are we backloading the deal? Why, when we have a bagillion bucks in cap space, wouldn't we front load the deal a bit more (I realize it poses some risk if a player stinks, but still, we have tons of cap space). He does have some injury history, but I don't think anything major. This is probably one of the better drafts in recent history for ILB and OLB. Maybe that had something to do with it. Still a pretty good deal for the Bears. I thought he would get more money.
-
@RapSheet 2m2 minutes ago For Olivier Vernon and the #Giants, I'm told it's the biggest defensive end deal in history with the most guaranteed money
-
Osweiler starting only 7 game and getting 72 million is pretty crazy.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 02:15 PM) YES!!!!! Sorry GoSox, you know he would have rushed for 300 yards vs the Bears alone this season. It would have been a nice luxury for the Packers, but it's not a huge deal. I think I wanted the Packers to sign him, just because I like Matt Forte.
-
@AdamSchefter Matt Forte is signing with the NY Jets, per source.
-
@RapSheet 2m2 minutes ago Among the teams interested in veteran RB Matt Forte: The #Jets and #Dolphins. His market will heat up when the other RBs sign. I really don't see the Packers getting into a biding war. Dolphins are the kind of team to offer like 7 million a year or something crazy.
-
QUOTE (dasox24 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 11:53 AM) As always with the NFL, important to see the guaranteed money there. But that's a big contract for a guy like McLeod. 17 million guaranteed.
-
@RapSheet 2m2 minutes ago Rodney McLeod agrees with the #Eagles for 5 years, $37M, source said. @AdamSchefter 7m7 minutes ago Former Chargers TE Ladarius Green is expected to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, per source.
-
Only people I trust with free agency news and that sort of stuff is Ian Rapoport, Adam Schefter and a couple other people like that. Local beat writers are usually pretty good too.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 09:25 AM) I watch a lot of NFL, yet every free agency period I'm always shocked by how many good defensive players I have never heard of. Like Jerrell Freeman. I don't think I ever heard his name before about two weeks ago and now he might get like 7-8 million a year.
-
Do the Bears have to cut or trade Bennett today to avoid paying him this year?
-
Looks like that trade between the Dolphins and Eagles is dead. Means Kiko Alonso is probably still on the trade market. I still think he could be a really good player if healthy. 3 down ILB.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 8, 2016 -> 03:14 PM) well then I guess he must be avoided at all costs I just meant it's unlikely for a team to trade for a player who is still recovering from injury.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 8, 2016 -> 02:05 PM) not gonna count on this, but it would be nice for sportsmockery to be correct http://sportsmockery.com/2016/03/jimmy-gra...go-rumors-true/ Graham is coming off a major injury and might not be ready for week 1.
