That episode of the Walking Dead was so intense. Last few minutes was awesome. Only thing that was aggravating was the amount of commercials. It felt like every 5 minutes there was 5 minutes of commercials.

@alivitali 21m21 minutes ago NEW Trump to @msnbc: "there has to be some form of punishment" for women who have abortions but he has yet to determine what that should be.

Meaningless wins.

This draft has so many good DT. I'm curious how many go in round one and two. Could be 10-12.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 11:49 AM) Um, of course it is being talked about. In the trailer they are talking about it, that is the impetus for the Sokovia Accords I just saw that quick little clip in the trailer. I've never read any of the Civil War stuff from Marvel.

Yeah, superheroes kill people in just about every movie and a ton in comic books. I'm sick of that argument. The opening scene in Superman/Batman was one of my favorite. It shows the consequences of a super hero and super villain fighting in a large city. People are getting killed, it was unique way to look at a giant fight like that. I think Age of Ultron should have done something similar when the city was being raised into the sky. They actually might talk more about that in Civil War.

He did sign a one year deal. So he will probably catch 15 TD next year. The Browns will then give him a 7 year deal.
-
Do people really get mad because someone sent an email in a movie? Is that like a real thing. Honestly, it seems like a pretty logical way to send someone information.
-
Hey, I didn't say I was super excited about the deal. He will help them stretch the field a little, but he is so hit or miss with his play.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 09:37 AM) Did you catch the Flash in that scene? He traveled back in time to warn Batman what was coming, a power The Flash has via his speed that he rarely uses. But yes, the biggest complaint I can see is this was VERY comic-bookie, and if you aren't aware of the DC universe, you'd miss a LOT of what went down in this movie. Even I missed stuff, but I'm ok with that, gives it re-watchability. I hope that part with the Flash ends up playing a bigger role in future movies. That would be cool.

I loved the nightmare he was having about the future. I think it will help set up some stuff in Justice League. That being said, I can see how it confused people who don't read the comics. I had to explain to my wife about what that was all about.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 09:04 AM) In my head, I always pictured them on a map kind of like Springfield is on the simpsons. Whenever it is time to pinpoint exactly where it is at, it gets obscured lol It is strange though, you would think there would be a lot of Superman/Batman overlap I always kinda figured they were like Chicago and New York City type distance or even Boston and New York City. I don't remember ever reading about them being sister cities. I feel like they did it as a convenience thing in the movie. They wanted to have the two heroes jumping back and forth between cities quickly. Kinda lazy writing if that's the case. I had a hard time telling the two cities apart. I think they should have done a better job of making them look different.

@RapSheet The #Packers are on the board: I'm told TE Jared Cook was spotted in Green Bay, set to sign with the Packers. Their big area of need.

Batman vs Superman was a pretty big mess, but I still enjoyed it for the most part. There was some stuff I really liked and other things I thought were really dumb. The thing that ended up bothering the most was that Metropolis and Gotham were right next to each other. I thought that was really odd.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 27, 2016 -> 10:25 AM) If you're in this thread not expecting spoilers... I'm on my phone so you've been warned. I don't know where to start. Batman kills people relentlessly now. Neat. Kryptonite is more widely available than salt. Apparently we are just burning through the death of superman to burn through the return. This in itself could have been an entire franchise of films. They f***ing destroyed the Doomsday storyline. Why was Wonderwoman in this movie? Suddenly she appears! Somehow Bruce Wayne knows. Batman was prepared to straight up kill Superman but you know they both have Moms so he can't do it. I've never seen a movie jump around so out of control. The storylines were all over the place. How could this pile of s*** follow Nolan's Batman universe? Batman's just cruising around in his Batmobile murdering people with guns left and right. Bob Kane is rolling over in his grave. Hey look! Lois is in trouble! Hey look! Superman is temporarily weakened by Kryptonite but he's back and now he's weak and now he's back! What the f***! The dream sequence where Batman is in a trench coat blowing people away with automatic weapons! Lex Luthor! WTF! I cannot express how terrible Eisenberg was in this movie. Batman can simply go save Martha Kent but Superman can't? Superman is at the mercy of Lex because of this? Again, what on Earth was the Doomsday s***? I really wanted to walk out on this one, but my wife was sleeping soundly next to me so I stuck it out. I've seen better storytelling and production value on YouTube. Why does Snyder keep making money? I guarantee I could have written a better script, by the way. I stand by my stance. This is the worst movie I've ever seen. Don't waste your money and more importantly your time. f*** this movie and f*** everyone involved in making it. Bob Kane used to have Batman kill people all the time. He had Batman throw criminals off buildings.

I think Goff and Wentz will be gone by the 10th pick. Lynch might still be there. Browns 49ers Eagles Cowboys All those teams need a QB.
-
Great, now the attacks on Raise your Voice start.

Even the people who don't like the movie seem to really like Wonder Woman in this movie. So hopefully that bodes well for that movie.

Kind of just reading some of the reviews. First review I read from a "top critic" on Rotten Tomatoes wished this movie was more like Deadpool. Really. Actually just read a second review that mentioned wishing it was more like Deadpool. Another review said that the movie was kinda scary and kids shouldn't see it.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 10:00 AM) Sure, fluffy and funny, that's what the Winter Soldier, Age of Ultron, The First Avenger were. That's why BvS is getting bad reviews, because people are expecting a Marvel movie and not because of the actual movie they watched. I haven't read one review that says anything close to comparing to Marvel movies but this is the first knee jerk reaction I read to a critique. Let's keep in mind that the grim and gritty approach took the Nolan trilogy to a average RT 85%, so apparently they weren't looking for fluffy and funny but rather a good movie I've seen a hand full of reviews mention Marvel movies and them being "fun". It's only been a couple. That is why I said those reviews don't really bother me because I know why they are giving it a bad review. Also, I'm not some DC fan boy that won't criticize DC. They have done an awful job at handling these movies. I think Marvel did a brilliant job in the way they released their movies. DC should have just flat out copied that. There are tons of other bad reviews that actually criticize the plot and that the movie is a mess. Those are the ones I think probably truly reflect why the movie might be pretty bad.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 08:51 AM) Lmao, and there it is What? That's what they are. I'm not saying they are bad. They just tend to be on the more fluffy funny side.
-
I don't mind the bad reviews that say the movie is to "grim" or "gritty". I think those reviewers just want the happy go lucky Disney Marvel movies. I mean this is a Batman movie. The bad reviews that worry me are the ones that say this movie is a mess and has an incoherent plot. That is what I was afraid of.
-
This movie is getting blasted. I'll wait till I see it to judge anything, but disappointing to see it getting so many bad reviews.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 22, 2016 -> 10:08 AM) Dusting this thread off because of the beerfest at the Field Museum this weekend, anyone going? https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2016-chicago-b...ets-21016334422 This looks awesome. Too bad sales ended. Are you going?

Oh good, Trump is being advised by Walid Phares. That seems totally normal. Ted Cruz also gave some press conference today where he sounded like an absolute nut case. I guess when Frank Gaffney is whispering in your ear, there is not a lot of normal that will come out of your mouth.
