Batman killing in BvS was something that people really complained about, but Batman has always killed people. It's this urban legend that superheroes never kill, but it's not really true. Bob Kane used to have Batman carry a gun and throw people off buildings. So it's nothing new. I do think that Superman was too grumpy in that movie. I didn't mind it at first, but rewatching it a couple times, I think they could have had him be a little more upbeat.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 3, 2016 -> 11:39 AM) It appears that WB meddled http://io9.gizmodo.com/report-warner-bros-...ss-i-1784760580 Sounds like the reshoots to make the movie "more fun" were true and might be part of the problem. Some rumors around Star Wars: Rogue having reshoots because the movie was too dark and they wanted to lighten it up. Hope that's not the case. Seems to be the problem is you end up with the movie having two different tones that make it seem like a mess. Just pick one or the other. Darker tone or more upbeat.

I really like the Batman vs Superman ultimate edition, but I also get why they probably shouldn't be making a comic book movie 3 hours and rated R. At least not this type of comic book movie.

QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 2, 2016 -> 12:51 PM) Well, if this ends Jared Leto's terrible career, it is worth it. From the second I saw the pictures of him as joker, I thought this movie could be very bad.

You know s*** is bad when Noam Chomsky is like "yeah, I think I would vote for Clinton in a swing state".
-
I think he also made those comments because Michelle Obama brought up a really ugly fact about America and O'Reilly is someone who thinks that America has never done anything wrong. So he has to be like "look it wasn't all that bad".

If he's not trying to down play the horrors of slavery, what is he saying? What point is he trying to make?

I put everyone ahead of Reagan.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 12:49 PM) From nowhere to President. How is that a good thing? The dude sat on the sidelines, did dick all for years, and then popped up with a bunch of propaganda and empty promises. Hillary has an incredible history of involvement and accomplishment. Bernie had nothing. What a story! Lmao.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 11:17 AM) Like Bill and Hillary did? I love that on the main page of this website there is a link to support David Duke and pills that can protect you from radiation.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 11:25 AM) I'm embarrassed that I ever was a sanders supporter. He lost, get over it. Stop acting like children and vote for what's best for your political viewpoints. I'm totally for universal healthcare and raising the minimum wage. Hears 10 Bernie supporters booing. I'm against all that now. Thanks.

I thought both of the new trailers from the convention looked good. Doesn't look like they are going to have Green Lantern in this movie, that is kind of a bummer. Also, saw Batman: Killing Joke yesterday. Really good. I Love Mark Hamill doing the Jokers voice.

Probably the best thing about Tim Kaine. @BobMehr Jul 22 Tim Kaine is a Replacements fan-cited Let It Be as a fave LP. A man who knows the words to 'Gary's Got a Boner' could be a heartbeat away...

Sounds like she had to pull back announcing it because of the shootings in Germany.

Sanders really did well against Clinton with younger voters. Voters under 30. I feel like those are the voters she needs to energize and get out to the polls in November. They aren't voting Trump, but they may stay home or use Johnson as a protest vote. You could use Kerry and Gore of examples of candidates that tried to get the moderate vote by adding very centrist VP and I don't think it worked for them.
-
Just think of all the fun we could of had watching Elizabeth Warren debate Mike Pence. Nope Clinton has to run straight to the center and pick Kaine.
-
I really hope Clinton doesn't pick Kaine, but it's looking that way.
-
That Trump speech was 90% fear mongering bulls***, but the parts he talked about NAFTA being an awful deal and factories closing in America is true. Now I don't believe for one second that he actually cares about that stuff, but he is going to attack Clinton on that stuff. It will probably work pretty well.

What do you mean both sides?

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 14, 2016 -> 02:36 PM) The media wasn't scared of Bernie at all. Like, the skeletons in his closet were routinely...ignored. He doesn't really have skeletons in his closet. Unless you consider support for Sandinistas in Nicaragua back in the 80's skeletons. I don't.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 14, 2016 -> 11:41 AM) He has left leaning tendencies for sure but he's an independent! Why would the DNC allow him to come in and kick over their tea party? I don't think the DNC did anything to stop Bernie Sanders. A small name candidate lost to the more popular well know candidate. Pretty much how it always goes. I don't think the DNC hates Bernie Sanders. He votes with them on almost every issue.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 14, 2016 -> 11:07 AM) BS didn't have a chance. I don't even know why he bothered trying to be a democrat when he clearly isn't one. HRC will be a horrible president most likely but the alternative of Trump will probably scare a lot of people into voting for her. Why isn't he clearly a democrat?

I wish it had Tecmo Super Bowl on it. The first one isn't as good.
-
The game list on that is pretty good. I hope they keep doing retro stuff.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 12, 2016 -> 11:19 AM) I can't recall any convention that did not feature a speech by the VP nominee. That makes total sense. This was a dumb question on my part.
