  1. I also don't really get the Bernie Sanders has these super far left crazy ideas narrative. What has been the most radical thing that he has proposed? Probably making college tuition free at public schools or raising the minimum wage? Those aren't really far out crazy ideas. It's not like he has been quoting Marx on the means of production or something. Some of this is his own fault for calling himself a democratic socialist. He really isn't and people think different things when they hear that.
  2. I like how Sanders is always lumped in with Trump and Cruz. Not really sure how that is, but it tends to happen all the time. Also the line of thinking that if you aren't a moderate, you can't be a good president. Why would Hillary Clinton be a good president? Well she is a moderate, that's why.
  3. Bennett is a nice player, but he will probably be on his 4th team before the age of 30. Usually a reason for that.
  4. Laurinaitis was PFF second worst graded ILB last year. Cook hasn't caught a TD in 19 games. Long hasn't been healthy in three years and is 30. Big name players, but little production. I can see why the Rams cut them.
  5. @AlbertBreer The Rams announced they've released LB James Lauinaitis, DE Chris Long and TE Jared Cook.
  6. 11.22.63 is great so far. Glad they are spreading it out, cause I would have binged watched the whole thing last night.
  7. The process of coming out like the Bears did and saying they weren't going to sign him was dumb, even if you think you are not in the bidding, you never know what can happen and it's best to keep all options open. Unless Forte wants to move on and told the Bears I will stay here and play, but it's going to be for a lot of money.
  8. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 12, 2016 -> 03:33 PM) Thomas Jones was 29, and the argument isnt about whether the Bears should spend money elsewhere. Its about burning a bridge, its about creating an atmosphere where other players dont believe that they will be taken care of. But again, with all the Bears success over the last 30 years, I can understand why they wouldnt want to run their team like a successful organization. Packers, Steelers and other successful teams would be doing the same thing.
  9. QUOTE (shipps @ Feb 12, 2016 -> 10:50 AM) He might go to the Packers. Even though they do not typically sign FA I think he would be lethal with them. I would love this on a cheap deal, but he will likely get more money then they would want to offer.
  10. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 02:22 PM) NO they didn't. They paid DL Mike Daniels. Mike Neal is an OLB that Bears had interest in last season. Mike Neal is a nice player. Nothing really special, but offers a little pass rush and can hold the edge. Is probably going to get way overpaid.
  11. Packers fifth Super Bowl championship season?
  12. People keep on saying Dallas, but I see Dallas rafting a QB in the first round this year.

    Music and more Music

Going to see Slayer / Testament / Carcass at the Riv.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 1, 2016 -> 11:21 PM) This is scary about Bernie's Socialism. I don't like Hillary, but Bernie may change the whole system. http://video.foxnews.com/v/4732696573001/g...g#sp=show-clips I was hoping they would drop a Lenin or Stalin reference in that video.
  15. This will free up tons of money for the Lions. Johnson was probably starting to decline in play anyway.
  16. Aaron Rodgers 'doing well' after knee surgery earlier this month Not sure how much this had to do with him not playing well. I'm sure it did at least little bit.
  17. Turbo Kid on Netflix was really good. If you like 80's post Apocalypse b-movie type stuff.
  18. These are awesome. They would make a nice alternate during the season as well.
  19. That is what the Packers need a LB that can cover RB/TE. I think this is becoming one of the most important positions on defense. Seeing a lot more mobile LB.
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 27, 2016 -> 07:56 AM) Braxton Miller, Josh Perry, Adolphus Washington, Tyvis Powell, Nick Vannett and Noah Spence. What are your thoughts on Darron Lee? Is he big enough to play ILB?
  21. I like Braxton Miller as a WR. It might take him some time to learn how to run good routes, but he has a ton of talent.
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 25, 2016 -> 03:14 PM) Julius Peppers was a pretty big signing for them. So was Charles Woodson. They've actually done a pretty good job when they actually decide to sign free agents. It's just far and few between. I can almost name every free agent that Thompson has signed without having to look it up.
