  1. Count in terms of raw stuff, looks the best he has all year tonight IMO. His lack of strikeouts has shown to me that has stuff wasn't there (and is a credit to how well he's pitched without striking out a ton of people), but tonight he has all the pitches working. And Jose has got through 8, allowing 3 runs, 6 hits, zero walks, 11 k's (career high) and throwing 108 pitches (75 for strikes, damn).
  2. Wow, that was like a whiffle ball pitch. Make it 10 k's for el Titan del Bronze.
  3. Leadoff single for Barajas, who seems to have Jose's number. Ok, take out Jose after the 8th or if Texas gets another man on.
  4. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 08:29 PM) So, with a five-run lead, does Ozzie pull Jose? His pitch count is still VERY low, so no. However the first sign of trouble, and I say get out the hook.
  5. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 08:29 PM) Is Kazmir still in against Detroit? I sure hope so, because I don't trust a single reliever on that team. He came out after 5. Travis Harper has pitched 2 and given up 1 so far.
  6. QUOTE(SnB @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 08:28 PM) this entire game has been white sox baseball at it's best. Everyone's contributing on offense, doing the little things right. Our pitching is keeping us in the game, dominating at points. We're back on track boys Agreed on all counts, I'm feeling as good as I have all year about the squad right now.
  7. 3-1 good guys in Detroit, wife beater Julio Lugo exits the facilities.
  8. Pods with an RBI single, Uribe scores. Hey, the bunt looks a lot better right now.
  9. Brian bunts......Uribe to 2nd with 2 outs. Tried to bunt for a hit and just missed. But hey, that beats the hell outta a whiff.
  10. Base hit for Juan, 2 for 4 tonight.....good to see him and Anderson look like actual hitters.
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 08:13 PM) 9k's now and through 7 its 6-3. This is Jose's season high in K's correct? Correct, and he's still only at 89 pitches.
  12. Let him pitch the 8th Ozzie, or at least let him start it, please?? Yeah, thanks.
  13. Nice inning Jose.....and still pretty economical. I'm hoping he can get through 8 and build the bridge to Jenks himself.
  14. That stupid ass shift gives up more hits that it takes away. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 07:52 PM) It's a great place to see a game, actually. But yea, the ball does fly. I know it's a great ballpark in general, I'm seeing a game there later this summer, and since the Sox aren't playing in it, I can't wait.
  15. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 07:47 PM) "The Mariners have their problems" translates to "Seattle sucks." For 4 innings of this game, Contreras looked literally unhittable. Now, the Rangers have a 3 spot and are back in this game. That makes me sad. Bleh, they had a double Joe missed by about 6 inches, and then Jose just made a s*** pitch to Barajas. Those 2 things followed a bunt. BIG inning here, middle of the order, need to get it done here.
  16. If Jose does his job, combined with his current pitch count, we're still fine here. But he needs to stay away from that pitch he threw to Barajas the rest of the night.
  17. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 07:41 PM) Ah, crap. Whitesoxfan101, shut up. What did I do? They didn't get 3 runs on infield hits.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 07:34 PM) Couldn't Czech's defeat Ghana and Italy defeat the Czechs with the US defeating Italy and Ghana, meaning you have 3 teams that went 2-1. Yes you could, and I think it comes down to goal differential in that senario. However, keep in mind: goal differential: U.S.: -3 Italy: +2 Czech's: +3 s***!! That would mean the U.S. is out even if they won both of those games. So your right, the U.S. could still possibly not advance. So the Czech's need to beat Italy, or tie them.
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 07:36 PM) 2 infield singles, they're just hammering Jose. Yep, down 6 in the 5th, that route is clearly going to get them right back in it.
  20. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 07:32 PM) I thought that was going to be his 3rd double play. Ehh well he's right where he should be now. If Koronka covers the actual bag, that's probably 2, but the first DP tonight was a bunch of crap, so it evened out. Damnit, if only Crede's throw to 1st had been a hair quicker......but now, a 2nd little infield hit by Texas. That's cute, but your down 6 boys, so you can't come back doing that.
