  1. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 22, 2008 -> 03:36 PM) Did you ever consider the fact that he just dosen't want to dye his hair pink? but, i mean, it doesnt sound the kind of bet a Sox fan would make. Or even say offhandedly. Would you bet against your beloved team in any context? It looks like a few posters here are confirming this suspicion anyway.
  2. Background: If the Sox win 10 games in a row, CTL's Dave Kaplan (and Nick Swisher) apparently will dye their hair pink. It started as an offhanded comment around the time of the pink bats and chia chins. But now it's snowballing and apparently they are making preparations to really do it and have a charity tie in. That said, when asked yesterday if he was rooting against the Sox for one of these next games, he pretty much yelled, "YES!" Which leads me to believe he's a Cub fan (if not another team).... and thus it will be pretty hilarious to (hopefully) watch him do one episode of CTL with pink hair.
  3. also this stuff about the pink hair on CTL is pretty good.
  4. QUOTE (tommy @ May 21, 2008 -> 05:52 PM) Anyone watching Chicago Tribune Live? Who is the douche in a black jacket, with glasses? Keeps on saying how White Sox are garbage because they have no speedy lead off man. that's KC Johnson, the Bulls beat writer. Hey, i dont know how we can disagree that they are terrible situational hitters. And that historically, that doesnt bode well for postseason hopes. However, i think he's wrong that speed matters that much. if we take care of the situational hitting, we can be Boston-like from last yr.

  11. and....the alexei boners die. uribe come back
  12. anyone else hearing Coop on 670 telling these Freddy Garcia stories? it's great EDIT: 1) that before Game 4 of the World Series, Freddy told Coop "Make your plans." 2) Freddy would go on those little walks around the mound sometimes to let "his arm come back to life." yikes.
  13. Obviously, with the win, this is not a big deal but.... i saw this on Soxmachine's recap Crede's throw to second pulled Alexei Ramirez off the bag. Ramirez did get his foot back on the bag in time. He also tagged Randy Winn. The umpire didn't see either, and it was 9-7 with still no outs. What is that about? Did Winn have his foot off the bag shortly after the play? I dont think I caught this.
  14. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 19, 2008 -> 01:02 AM) and also LOL @ us only playing 16 total home games so far vs 27 away games, excellent fact. i'm feeling good about that
  15. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 18, 2008 -> 05:25 PM) If Alexei was on base when Alexei hit that 2 out double instead of Dye, Alexei would've scored standing up while Dye looked like he was DYEing just getting to 3rd. we should just have a team of all alexeis. also thank you Cinci
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ May 18, 2008 -> 04:51 PM) Alexei is still raw in some areas, but I really have enjoyed not having to watch Uribe swing a bat the past few days. yea, i think our infuriation with Uribe clouds our judgment with Alexei, but stil i cant disagree
  17. How has Alexei looked at second?
