  1. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 27, 2014 -> 08:13 PM) Santana looks like an incredibly good young player, like All-Star level. He's a definite keeper. I was really impressed with his range in CF. yeah, he was called up on emergency from AA and stuck out of position in CF and just ran with it. Sounds like the Twins want to stick him at SS next year, they couldnt do that this year because Eddy Escobar was playing pretty good and didnt want to mess with that.
  2. former White Sox great Eduardo Escobar hit a 3 run HR, has 6 rbi, and its now 12-2 Twins.
  3. 6-1 should have been more, but the Twins ran themselves out of the inning and Arcia didnt plate before the out was made at third.
  4. Twins rookie Danny Santana has scored 69 runs in 99 games. Brian Dozier is at 110.
  5. Hughes issued 6 walks in April, 10 (including one IBB) the rest of the year.
  6. Twins beat Cleveland in extra innings. Cleveland SS bobbled a double play ball in the 9th inning leading to the trying run to score. That should just about finish them off.
  7. the lowly Twins took two of three from the Tigers. David Price looked pedestrian. baseball is a funny game.
  8. Verlander at about 65 pitches through 3 innings. Also, 4 runs have crossed the plate.
  9. some guy named Lobstein soaked up 5.2 innings.
  10. Friday night's Tigers pitching boxscore against the Twins. Double header slated for Sat
  11. The Twins recently called up Kennys Vargas, now calling up Trevor May. He comes the future.
  12. Why wait 3 more weeks when you can get a player that helps your team now.
  13. Kevin Correia and Josh Willingham available to be traded. Wanna swap them for Jose Abreu?
  14. He says he had been playing with side pain for about a week.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 22, 2014 -> 09:05 AM) They also had a sellout/standing-room-only crowd of 41,000+ for Omar Vizquel/Indians Hall of Fame night. 41 K at one game, thats about a weeks worth of home games for the Tribe! I keep being surprised looking at the standings everyday because the moribund Twins and Sox are always a handful of games out of first place.
  16. Joe Nathan notched a win last night because he gave up a run in the ninth to blow the save.
  17. I love the guy in the background yelling and signaling "safe"
  18. Meet Danny Santana. Your new random Twins piranha http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/santada01.shtml
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 28, 2014 -> 09:02 AM) Please hurry up and sign Jeff Keppinger. That will make the rest of our match-ups with the Twins more interesting. Sorry to see Morneau having such a great comeback season with the Rockies. That must sting a bit, but who could have predicted it after how poorly he played for the Pirates down the stretch? Im happy for Morneau. It was so sad seeing him struggle to hit a baseball for two years after the concussion. Im glad he still has some baseball life (albeit mile high air aided) left.
  20. After 1565 MLB plate appearances, Ben Revere hit a HR. Over the fence and everything!
  21. former Sox great Eduardo Escobar has 14 doubles in 100 plate appearances this year.
  22. yeah, the batting average is low (.245 coming into the game) but he walks a lot (Top 5 in the AL) and steals enough (again, Top 5 in the AL) and now has 10 HRs. The Twins have a 2B prospect in Eddie Rosario (currently serving a suspension) that was going to push Dozier aside but I think those plans have changed.
  23. Brian Dozier scored two more runs tonight, upping his season total to 38 The last person to score 140+ runs in a season was Alex Rodriguez (143) in 2007 The last person to score 150+ runs in a season was Jeff Bagwell (152) in 2000
  24. QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ May 3, 2014 -> 03:40 PM) Uggla is a good comp. Dozier is equally brutal in the field. You might want to look at Dozier's numbers a little closer. Dozier is pretty good with the glove.
  25. Its still early in the season, but its nice to see the Central all competitive in the standings Also, Kurt freaking Suzuki has 17 RBI and Brian Dozier has 22 runs scored
