  3. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) By the way, Torre pinch-hit Sierra over Jeter with the bases loaded there. What a moron. Jeter is sick or something like that today. The Twins radio guys talked about it for about 2 seconds at the beginning of the game. I cant remember that far back. lol

  6. I have little faith in Romero in tie or 1 run lead games His ERA is little, but has given up 12 inherited runs and it looks like a walk here. again

  8. I heard that on another board. The guy who posted the message was pissed that the oldies station is gone. They changed to a JACK format. Which is the new craze in the radio world the JACk format is supposed to be like listening to your IPOD. A coutnry song to a 70s song to a current song. Just a bunch of stuff mish mashed together

  15. here is a rumour I found today from the Minneapolis StarTribune -- No on Polanco The Twins recently had preliminary discussions with Philadelphia concerning second baseman Placido Polanco, who is batting .295 and is scheduled to make $4.6 million this season. Those discussions never developed because the Phillies requested players such as reliever Jesse Crain and top pitching prospects Scott Baker and Francisco Liriano in return. Punto's injury should not force the Twins to revisit the situation because they loved what they saw recently in the field from Punto and shortstop Juan Castro. And Punto was proving to be a functional offensive player. --- http://www.startribune.com/stories/509/5439164.html
  16. from the StarTribune -- The Twins went into Friday's game with the Yankees unsure when first baseman Justin Morneau and catcher Joe Mauer would be available. They went home after the game feeling better about their availability. Morneau swung off a tee before the Twins' 6-3 victory at the Metrodome and said his sore left elbow gave him some problems. But he will try again today and could start if he feels better. Morneau did enter Friday's game as a defensive replacement at first for Terry Tiffee in the ninth inning. If he still has problems ... "If he struggles we will shoot him up [with cortisone] and let him get ready for Tuesday," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. Twins team doctors said Mauer should be able to avoid a stint on the disabled list. He was available to pinch hit on Friday. Once problem Mauer is having is that his athletic cup is aggravating his pulled left groin muscle, especially when he swings. Padding will be added to the area to cut down on the discomfort. my goodness. lol
  17. wow. just wow GAME TWO Joe Mays -vs- Son Jung Ho (? i think it was) Jeter out with flulike symptoms. Balco Giambi in at DH tonight
  18. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 09:39 PM) How do you give up homers to Lew Ford and Brent Abernathy and live with yourself? The Yankees find a new way to suck every day. hahaha. Abernathy was on base all 4 at bats. 2-2 with 2 walks.
