I saw a note in todays Minneapolis Star Tribune. Dwyane Roloson, the MN Wild Player Rep, said: "Now it's just a matter of trying to work out the final numbers," Roloson said. "Finding out the higher end and the lower end. ... I always felt the season would start on time. Now it seems inevitable. You look at the work that has been done over the last month, month and a half. It's been like a snowball effect. Now the momentum is there, for sure. Intersting note from todays StarTribune Bullpen watch The Twins' bullpen has thrown 142 innings this season, third-fewest in the majors behind Houston and the White Sox. The Twins likely would have the fewest bullpen innings if not for a recent run of extra-inning games. It bodes well for late in the season. Twins starters are second behind the White Sox with 3792/3 innings. Since the starters are pitching deep into games, the bullpen won't be worn out. And scouts at this week's series against the Diamondbacks predicted that the wild card will come out of the A.L. I think there will always be a small percentage fans who dont like thier hometown announcers. Im talking .001ths of a percent. maybe they grew up listening to someone else. Maybe they dont like their voice, or delivery of the game. Not so much hometown now, but how many people hate the way Joe Buck and Tim McCarver call a game. Or Chris Berman. Or name your favorite national announcer There will always be those jerks. Just hope it doesnt spread like wildfire
