QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) The Yankees would have to make the playoffs for that to happen. lol good point. It was the first team I had in my mind. if you DO make it to the Playoffs, I hope you play the Yanks and kick the living dogsnot out of them though.
-
I wouldnt be looking ahead to who you play in the playoffs just yet. Just enjoy your run. Let the chips fall when they may Its easier to get let down when your team loses in the playoffs. Im not saying I hope the Sox lose to the Yanks int eh first round or anything, but we are not even to the All Star break

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 08:46 PM) Actually, we DO score runs. We are 7th in the MLB in runs scored... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/aggreg...batting&group=9 The Twins are 17th. I supposed I should look things up before i say them. hahah. But that stat surprises me
-
oh yeah.. defense has been horrible The offense, yeah they havent been scoring runs, but the Sox dont score a lot of runs either and they have the best record in baseball

theres been no game threads, and I dont want to clog up anything.. you know but this sucks. > but maybe its just a spell that teams go through. I just happens to be at a time where the Sox dont lose why DOESNT your team lose a few? hahah. As for that Santana game a few days ago, someone pointed out that the strike zone shifted through the game, I believe thats what happened, and Darrell May pitched Sunday because the Pads were playing the Dodgers on Monday, and Jake Peavy owns the Dodgers. But what is killing the Twins right now is that we cant hold a lead. Look at tonight up 1-0, but then the next inning were are tied and the next we are losing. Not good

Minor league teams to play 'virtually'
Benchwarmerjim replied to Leonard Zelig's topic in The Diamond Club
well, Schaumberg plays in the Northern League, which has the St. Paul Saints. From what I remember, that is AA level. Maybe lower -
that is true

If you read the post, it was not Bat Girl making those statement, but a guest blogger because BG is gone until June 23(as it says on the top of the page) But, as a Twins from, I am concerned, but not worried. Its not the alls tar break yet. But if the lead DOES get 10-11 game before then, well, then Ill start to worry

going back to the White Stripes. I bought the album the day it came out, and I was weirded out by it. So much different from what I expected. So much different from their single 'Blue Ochrid' But I was intrigued enough by the album to play it again the next day, and the next day, and the album really grew on me, and pretty much does not leave my cd player

Romero went to chase a ground ball off the mound and tripped in one of the holes left on the mound by the pitchers -
I dont want to use injuries as an excuse, but man the Twins have been beat up this year. All of our middle infielders are hurt. The Twins put Abernathy on the DL and activated Luis Rivas, who was to be going on a rehab assingment after the game tonight. Castro goes down tonight. But its not the 4th of July yet. Still a lot of baseball to be played. Just as long as the Twins are 4-5 games back by the end of July, things will be good

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:54 AM) Celebrities have been crazy since there have been celebrities. You take people and give them an enormous amount of easy money, and voila, you get a bunch of kooks acting wierd on national TV. It's remarkable. hahah. very true

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 09:26 PM) Well, a lot of people suck against Crain. He's the best reliever in the game......as a rook. It's almost unfair they have so many guys come up and contribute immediately. We don't have anyone like that. there was an artcile in the StarTrib a few days ago (monday?) The pitching coach for the Twins, Rick Anderson, worked on his mechinacs a bit. He doesnt throw 95 mph anymore, its now 90-91. But with his mechanics changed, he picked up a sinker, and that has been his out pitch this year in the mean time..gardy.. never put Nathan in the 9th inning without a save situation. You know it just ends up in distaster.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 06:51 PM) Yeah, those pics are from last year, but they've been planning it for awhile. Same with the A's. The Twins new stadium look badass. The new Mets stadium is supposed to be a replica of the new Yankee Stadium IIRC. Here's where you could view them. http://www.ballparksofbaseball.com/FutureBallparks.htm I cant wait for the Minnesota Legislature to get its act together and pass the bill that is stalled there to allow financing for an outdoor stadium Yeah, I couldnt believe that either. Kudos to Steinbrenner
