  3. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 10:45 AM) "People close to Bret Boone have been told by the Seattle Mariners second baseman that the Twins would be his first choice if he is traded or becomes a free agent, as expected. Boone, 36, always has been impressed by the way the Twins play and that they have been in the playoffs three consecutive years. Boone believes he would be a terrific fit and would be greatly motivated to play for the Twins." -benmaller.com haha. how many rumors get put up on SpinMaller that actually become true 2%..4% maybe
  4. The Grand Jury stuff is over in October, so I guess well have to wait until then
  5. I said it before, his mechanics are off a bit. So his fastball is a bit slower, thus making the changeup less devasting, and making him less effective in the strike zone. Today, he pitched pretty good. Just left 2 pitches over the plate, and those 2 pitches hurt him.
  6. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 05:55 PM) Mike Redmond was 4 for 4. Bet that will never happen again. that was his second 4 hit game in his career le sigh... but.. now on to Kansas City!! The Royals always help out a slump
  7. The inning is done though. It was a great game, too bad my team came on the losing end
  8. Twins are going to lose 2-1 Angels and KRod is on the mound
  9. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 10:03 PM) Well in most cases it is day to day. arent we all Day to Day ? lol

  11. new O'Donnell post on Hufftington On Friday, I broke the story that the e-mails that Time turned over to the prosecutor that day reveal that Karl Rove is the source Matt Cooper is protecting. That provoked Rove’s lawyer, Robert Luskin, to interrupt his holiday weekend to do a little defense work with Newsweek and the Los Angeles Times. On Saturday, Luskin decided to reveal that Rove did have at least one conversation with Cooper, but Luskin told the Times he would not “characterize the substance of the conversation.” Luskin claimed that the prosecutor “asked us not to talk about what Karl has had to say.” This is highly unlikely. Prosecutors have absolutely no control over what witnesses say when they leave the grand jury room. Rove can tell us word-for-word what he said to the grand jury and would if he thought it would help him. And notice that Luskin just did reveal part of Rove’s grand jury testimony, the fact that he had a conversation with Cooper. Rove would not let me get one day of traction on this story if he could stop me. If what I have reported is not true, if Karl Rove is not Matt Cooper’s source, Rove could prove that instantly by telling us what he told the grand jury. Nothing prevents him from doing that, except a good lawyer who is trying to keep him out of jail http://www.huffingtonpost.com/theblog/arch...-rove_3584.html
  12. The Twins arent intrested (thank god!) from the Strib Interest in Boone? The Twins are not thought to have interest in Mariners second baseman Bret Boone, who was designated for assignment by the team Sunday. That means the Mariners have 10 days in which to trade him. If they can't trade him, they will put him through waivers. Twins General Manager Terry Ryan, reached Sunday afternoon, declined to comment. The Twins are thought to be more interested in playing Nick Punto at second base than searching for outside help. http://www.startribune.com/stories/509/5489271.html
  13. Lawernce O'Donnell works for MSNBC as a Senior Political Analyst. And dont MSNBC and Newsweek work together on some stories, or something like that? They are tied somehow. Maybe somebody else can explain it http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3080444 but this Rove deal is a real interesting story.
  14. they both are but Norm raising a ton more money, so he gets more love
