look how much confidence Gardy has in Romero Matt Guerrererer is coming in

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 16, 2005 -> 09:24 PM) Something like 365 at bats against us inbetween walks. 80 some innings the Twins pitching is unreal in the walks given up category this year. And Radkes always had great control
-
QUOTE(Ozzie Montana @ Aug 16, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) If I were Gardy I'd rather put in Rincon. Romero is not that good. fact.
-
gah!
-
haha. then he singles on a change up congrats to Brian!
-
Jack Morris is doing the commentary for Twins radio as a fill in. He kind of asked out loud how many decent change ups do you see in AAA. Maybe that is why Anderson looks a bit sluggish at the plate
-
Radkes first walk to a Sox batter since 2002! 80 some innings

QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Aug 16, 2005 -> 08:59 PM) Is Nathan Available tonight? I know he has pitched the last two days. well, considering he didnt pitch in a 2 week strech before the latest save oppertunities, I would say he is. I think he had a streak earlier this year of 4 saves in 4 days or 4 in 5

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 16, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) Yah. Somebody needs to fire the guy in Philly who said that Eric Milton was worth more than Carlos Silva. the trade was Milton for Silva AND Punto

Carl Everrett OWNS Twins pitching
-
It sounds like Baker and Liriano are going to get starts in September Mays has a club option and Loshe is a free agent or arbitration eleigble. For what I understand the Twins are going to keep one of them. Baker has 2 starts already this year and looked impressive
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 16, 2005 -> 08:44 PM) Carlos Silva would be the best number 3 if he's a number 3. But I'm not sure he is. He's probably the number 2. So Radke's a really good 3 too. I would say Silva is the Twins 2nd best starter. He has been consistent all year. 7 inning plus in most of his starts. Look at Silva walk per inning pitch rate. unbelivable. The only knock is that he is not as seasoned as the other starters/ If that even matters. Radke has been pitching better of late, but he gets rocked in the first inning alot Santana Silva Radke Others

What happened to Pods?

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) July 24th, 2004 = 2 years... Is that the gregorian calander? holy crap. It was 2004 I stand corrected
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) Oh boy no no. I am not trying to start trouble. I dont remember Mauer ever plowing anybody over. And the Hunter thing was like 2 years ago
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 09:06 PM) Crede should of dropped Mauer to his ass on that play for payback from last year. But he pussed out. payback for what?
-
seriously folks. this is not the Twins I know. I dont have the stat infron tof me, but the batting average is terrible with the bases loaded
-
bases loaded the Twins are terrible with the bases loaded you Sox fans should not worry
-
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 08:06 PM) Wonder how the Twins will fair with 2 on and no one out. Better than the Sox? it would seem to me now is the time for a double play... oh. just a force out
-
Punto is going to steal
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 07:49 PM) I haven't seen many forkballs by Contreras. Seems to be going with the fastball and sidearm slider. thats because the Twins bats havent been hitting fastballs very good for pretty much all year. no need to waste a perfectly good forkball
-
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) That was a solid first inning. Looked like the Red Sox and Yankees last week. They made the pitcher work. Sure they didn't score, but they saw a ton of pitches, and limitted how deep he can go in today's game. Of course now, Lohse will now use 45 pitches to record the next 24 outs as the Twins win 1-0. obvoisuly you have not been following the exploits of Kyle Lohse this year. He is either really effecient with his pitches, or he has innings like that first inning and only goes 5 and throws 110 pitches
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 06:55 PM) You know, from now on whenever I hear someone throw out one of those "They're not covering the good things in Iraq" stories, I think I'm going to respond "Yeah, but they're not covering 65 out of the 70 attacks on U.S. forces per day either". I agree with that post
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) Just remember...I believe he was drafted before a couple guys named Prior and Teixiera, so comparisons with those 2 are pretty valid. you gotta remember that Mauer was out for pretty much all last year with a knee injury. So this is is his first full season in the Major Leagues

QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 11:12 AM) The X boxs only down fall, is that damn controller configuration. yep there is a option where one can change in to Madden 05 settings, but then you cant truck stick anyone
