I know this was a big deal on Friday and people were getting excited again at the prospect at more indictments But didnt Fitzgerald say at the one press Conference for the Libby deal that the investigation wasnt over and that we would need a new Grand Jury because the other GJ had the be released form the duties because they just ran out of time

I am really digging this topic. Good, healthy discussion I was home last night and was watching CSPAN when the whole argument was going on (I've got nothing better to do! lol) and I couldnt believe how... poisionous the words were in the House. I think it stemmed from Thursday when they went late into the night to do a budget vote (which almost failed) and the speeches then were very bitter But I think this was sort of therapeutic. This speeches that is, not the spin. I really hate the spin that is going on. Just listen to what what the politicians say, not what some analyst of politics says. Anyway, I say that because you could just tell there was this big build up of anger..on both sides. And it just blew up Friday. Now they are on recess. Everyone can take a deep breath. Come back in December and maybe...just maybe get a bipartsian commission or committe together and dicuss things. Hash out idea and really formulate a plan on what to do with Iraq I think what is missing from the debate in the media and on websites and such is the position of people like me. Those who really did not want to go into Iraq, but since we did wanted us to win. When the Republicans attacked John Kerry last year about the 'he voted for the war, but is against the war', thats when I knew I was voted for Bush. Because I could relate to Kerry in that way. What I havent seen, in clear concrete deatils, is a plan on how succeed. John Kerry had a speech a few weeks ago I saw on CSPAN that started to see a plan. And this Murtha deal was another plan that sort of looks good. You hear the Republicans saying for 3 years 'The Democrats have no plan' Well guess what, you guys really havent had a plan for things either. You were just in power and decided to plop a whole bunch of troops in Iraq and just wing it from there Anyway, Im rambling now. I just hope the White House, the Senate, and the House and the Pentagon gets all the ducks in a row, get a good strategy together, and tells us about it

Boy, with all the other stories going on these days, this one gets kind of buried. I wonder if Gabon is one of the African countries that needed debt relief? and $9 mil to see the President... good lord! I need to quit my job and start making some friends in Washington DC

I voted NO for clean lake there was a sales tax increase proposal. the money would go to this Clean Lakes committee and they would clean the lake. But, after looking at all the literature and whatnots, I felt it would be more of a beaurcracy instead of something that might help the lakes. So I voted no

ooh sweet and thank you all for the nice words

I wish Thome wasnt a threat to be injured everytime he swings the bat when he was in Cleveland, he ate up teh twins when he played at Metrodome. that right field porch suits him
-
Reggie jackson interested in buying twins.
Benchwarmerjim replied to qwerty's topic in The Diamond Club
cant you divvy up some of that efforts to maybe finding a decent bat in the offseson Im not a big fan of Pohlad. He can totally build a stadium with his own/families money. He says he loves baseball and the Twins. If he loves them so much, and he think that a stadium is nessicary to sustain it BUILD THE DAMNED THING or else, sell it. The team was on the selling block for 2+ years. then the team started to win consistently. Now its not for sale. -
hahah thanks everyone!

Ill miss his style of program I like Anderson Cooper, but I like Aaron more I hope he catches on somewhere else like MSNBC or heck CBS has a job opening, or maybe go back to ABC
-
I was totally surprised to see Hunter win the GG his defensive has not Gold Glove like this past year
-
Ortiz was always hurt thats why the organization got rid of him. We couldnt afford to keep him around with Carl 'TightWallet' Pohlad if you look at his games played stats with the BoSox, youll see that he doesnt miss too much time anymore. But I am kind of happy The Sox are good, because rooting for rivalry games are fun and exciting Too bad the Twins wernt that good this year. But maybe next

I cant really offer up any more than whats already been said in the last week but Congrats on a well played season, and championship Jim

LOL -- WASHINGTON - Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, vowed Thursday to resign from the Senate if his fellow lawmakers followed through on threats to cancel spending on a $230 million "bridge to nowhere" in Alaska that was stuck into a pork-filled highway bill earlier this year. The bridge, longer than the Golden Gate, would cross from Ketchikan (pop. 8,000) to Gravina Island (pop. 50), replacing a seven-minute ferry that connects the town with the regional airport. Its main critic, Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., argued that the bridge money is enough to buy each island resident a Lear jet. The bridge, and Stevens' success in preserving it, illustrates a trend in Congress, where lawmakers lard spending bills with pet projects worth tens of millions of dollars. Many of them are obscure, such as $1 million to research household plants in Utah's desert climates. Many are popular with lawmakers' constituents, such as $500,000 for an Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle or a museum parking lot in Omaha, Neb. more: http://news.yahoo.com/s/krwashbureau/20051...ongress_spend_1

yeah, This Week in God just didnt have that holy laughter last night. lol Stephen seems to have trouble read the teleprompter but, like you said, The Word is HILARIOUS. On the first night, that Gravatis bit with Stone Phillips was outstanding. I also love how arrogant his character is I think the show has got potential

when I woke up the other morning and flipped it to The Weather Channel, I was amazed. The announcer was amazed at just the number 882 882 millibars that equates to 26.07" on your barometer my barometer only goes to like 28.50" amazing. I hope the death toll is light, and the storm weakens

I didnt see a topic about it, so sorry if its a repeat topic but have any of you watched this show? Any thoughts about it? For those that dont know, its on right after the Daily Show on Comedy Central
