yep..it pretty much sucks right now we even drew 6 walks last night..which the Twins havent done in forever and ZERO runs to show for it. Unf***ing believeable QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 5, 2006 -> 10:36 AM) Until the Twins learn how to develop young hitters at the major league level, they're not got going to get higher than 4th in the division for a while. And really considering where they were a few seasons back, that's quite depressing for a Twinkies fan. my boss and I were talking about the last good hitter the Twins developed. We came up with Chuck Knoblauch back in the early to mid 90's. (this list excluded Mauer..but he is looking good as a hitter so far) every other potential great hitter flamed out in a few years. Mientkiewicz hit .300 his first year and bombed after that. Jacque Jones turned from a pateint .300 type hitter to a .260 free swinger. Hunter has never been discplined at the plate. The list goes on I suffered throught he dark days of the mid 90's. But lsoing back then didnt feel as much as it does know because we are supposed to compete..and that is not getting done

It was one of the best interveiws Ive seen on his show -

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 09:20 AM) The Metrodome is a black eye on stadiums everywhere, it needs to go and they all know it. Hopefully they will all come to an agreement and the Senate wont shoot it down, because the Twins need a new stadium. I agree I have stopped going to Twins games because it just sucks watching games in that Dome crappy seats losing the ball in the roof on any pop up a whole laundry list of complaints

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 09:44 PM) He's had a problems in the past, too. The Devil Rays need to give him a 40 game suspension and send a message. I agree with this no matter what happened..you cant throw a bat at ump -
for fooks sake 4 stinking hits off Royals pitching 3-1 loss

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 03:35 PM) Bronson Arroyo improved to 4-0 with a 2.34 by throwing 8 innings of 1 hit ball in a 5-0 win over the Natties. Reds must be feeling good about that trade right about now, he's actually 1 out away from being 5-0. and the crazy thing is that the Reds are winning games 15-7 so far this year dont know how much longer that is going to last

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 10:54 AM) I was watching that game in the 8th inning (Sox were on a station break). Sweeney came up with 2 outs and 2 men on against Rincon, and I'm sitting there saying "if this was a White Sox pitcher, this ball leaves the park. He hit it almost to the warning track. How do you guys get so lucky as to not have that guy murder you? Mike Sweeney is the Royals version of Jim Thome against Twins pitching. A guy who always does well but last night he was 0-1 and FOUR walks the other Royals could not hit him around

Twins pull out the win 2-1 that'll lower the team ERA
-
Bonds just tied Bronson Arroyo with 2 home runs this year
-
Prince Feilder has 2 stolen bases so far this season
-
its 1-0 in the top of the 7th. Royals leading the Twins the Royals have left 18 men on base so far though

its most likely that Hunter will not be in a Twins uniform next year, unless he take a pay cut (as mentioned, the club has an option for $12 next year) he is a great fielder, and may be the clubhouse leader, but man he strike outs on some awful pitches and his batting average is not so great (.229 right now)

April 22nd Game Thread Twins at Sox

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 08:54 PM) What the f*** happened to Jesse Crain? This guy was like 9-0 or something out of the pen for the Twins late last year and now he couldn't get his sister out. Crain has a fast ball, and thats it. Last year, he had a bit of arm trouble and he lost some zip on the ball, and has never come back now hes a batting practice pitcher that throws 90 -
did anyone catch the clip on ESPN News today. The Brew Crew hit 5 homeruns in the 4th inning, tying a Major League record 4 off one pitcher

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 04:03 PM) The Sox changed all Friday night games to that time for some reason, and Sunday games are an hour earlier again. ahhh. thanks

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 12:58 PM) I was flipping through the 600's of my directv channel guide, and I came across the YES network airing the "Jason Giambi's Grand Slam" game. I was not aware that there was a "Jason Giambi's Grand Slam" game. He hit some grand slam homerun in the 14th inning of a game on 05/17/2002. It wasnt even a playoff game, it was a game in May. You would think a team with such a storied history would have better games to air. holy cow just when i got that game out of my mind its known in my circles as 'The Mike Trombley Game' he was washed up and in AAA but got called up because someone got injured he was the last pitcher in the pen and the 14th inning came he came in and bam granny it really was one hell of a game
