46 HRs hit around the league today...

I heard Jack Morris (who was doing some commertary for Twins Radio on Wednesday) say that the ball is traveling different in Metrodome in the then 2 games that had been played there but remember back in the mid-90's, the juice ball theory was the reason people were hitting home runs. turns out a lot of players were juiced. -
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 02:07 PM) Honestly, what aggrivates about Liriano is how the Twins, of all organizations in MLB, pick him up. Perhaps the ONE pitcher best suited to replicate Santana just happens to be on their ballclub? I wouldn't call that chance. In addition to emulating their style of baseball on the field, Williams should replicate whichever methods their scouting department uses. They're obviously doing something right. Not only do you pick up a 1-2 punch that alone can win them a World Series, but their system literally creates hardthrowing pitchers out of thin air. Give them an offense and they're off. you gotta remember, Liriano was a Giants farmhand before the Twins got him in 2003 acquired from San Francisco along with pitchers Joe Nathan and Boof Bonser in exchange for catcher A.J. Pierzynski, November 14. why the Giants gave up on him..I havent a clue

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) Why they keep Loshe in the rotation is beyond me. becuase Lohse has 'potential' or that is his tag on him and the Twins have worked for 4 years trying to develop that potential It seems to me that they are stubborn and think he can turn the corner but I dont think so. He is just inconsistent he'll pitch 3 straight games of mediocre ball, then pitch that one 8 IP, 2H, 5 K 0BB game that keeps him on a leash for a few more starts I was hoping the Twins brass would trade him for a big or even a decent bat in the offseason. That obviously did not happen

Brenley is alright sometimes. But the other guy (Kasper?) I dont like his play by play calling but you are right

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 03:38 PM) I'm surprised that Lirano didn't make the rotation over Lohse or Baker. I had him as a major fantasy sleeper before that. Of course, this is the team that waited about a year longer than they should have to put Santana in the rotation too. My gut feeling is that Liriano is going to be in the rotation before the All Star break. Gardenhire wants him to get his feet wet coming in from the bullpen

Twins defeat the A's for the sweep 8-2 Liriano came on in relief. 2 IP, 1 hit 5 K's
-
Twins win over the A's again 6-5 Silva win, Nathan save. Loaiza tagged with the loss
-
Twins win 7-6 Chavez 2 hrs for the A's though between him and Grady Sizemore/Travis hafner and Thome...its going to be a long season
-
Chavez with a 2nd inning HR 1-0 A's over Twins in the 2nd
-
Bronson has as many homeruns as Ken Griffey Jr
-
I need to upgrade from my MVP 04 game
-
Im not a big fan of Lohse. I thought we should of traded him for a bat in the offseason he is so inconsistent
-
Liriano to start sooner rather than later? http://www.startribune.com/509/story/361146.html
-
is this considered a pitchers park or a hitter park? but it looks sweet
-
Hafner flied out to center to end his streak at 11 at bats but then Perez hits a homerun off Santana. 1-0 Tribe in the bottom of the fouth
-
Hafner walked in his first at bat
-
too bad Travis Hafner didnt get traded from Cleveland like Coco Crisp I dont know the number against the Twins lifetime, but I bet they are really good
-
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 09:28 PM) Carlos Silva walked two batters.... I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but he didn't walk more than one batter in a game all last season, and finished with a single digit walk total. one was an 'unintentional intentional' walk they loaded up the bases to try to get a double play, but the next bater hit a double or something Sliva also hit a bitter

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 08:40 PM) Twinkies lose 6-3 to the Blue Jays. it was an ugly loss to now on to Cleveland for 3

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) Free Weekend (I would assume) for MLB games on Cable. horray! --- the board's favorite player Torii Hunter had 6 RBI tonight against the Jays (including a Grand Slam) to help get the Twins on the winning column

Where do you stand on Barry Bonds?

QUOTE(farmteam @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) On his head. I chose the 4th option -
we got 2 homeruns which shocked me! but they were solo homeruns just like last year =/

I wish more games were on TV. Most people dont get ESPN Deportes. I realize that it was kind of quick fix deal with the TV contract and ESPN had obligations to other things. Hell, put it on ESPN News and ESPN Classic. get MLB Umpires, and the best Umps from the other leagues around the world Hold the competition every 2 or 3 years instead of 4
