  1. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 13, 2015 -> 10:15 PM) 4 out of 5 night for DR. yep.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2015 -> 10:08 PM) Kudos to Ventura for getting Bonifacio the start tonight. His strategy to get more defense on the infield played a huge part in the first 8 innings of this game. I f***ing agree. I WANT MORE. Play the defenders. Rely on pitching. Now, with Rodon in the rotation, you might just have something in the whole 50% of the game run prevention stat.
  3. Robertson is sick. Nasty stuff for a guy that "only" throws 91-92 on his fastball. He does remind some of older Rivera in that way. edit: sit down, just sick pitch sequencing and execution.
  4. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 13, 2015 -> 10:04 PM) It technically leaves the Sox without a backup RF but I cant imagine there's much of a difference between Shuck playing RF and Boni in RF. I'd prefer Sanchez to Coats but would be OK with either. THe value of Boni is obscure I know: but he can play 5 or 6 positions within a -20% margin of league average. RF is one of those positions. You signed him to be a super sub so that you could carry a de facto defensive replacement for one Micah Johnson. So, do it.
  5. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 13, 2015 -> 10:00 PM) Shuck really has no point to being on this team. The question is: is his defense better in CF than Emilio? I think the answer is "no". Move on. You are correct he has no role. Bring up Sanchez. Sanchez is a very good defensive 2B that can run. He has a role on this team.
  6. Eaton is fast line to line it's too bad he can't run the bases for s***.
  7. lol why is a lefty ph against a LHP? Is there some splits voodoo here with Shuck I"m not aware of? Is Jose Abreu incapable of grabbing a bat?
  8. if you combined strikeout and popout % I think Flowers would be a league leader.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2015 -> 09:52 PM) Alexei messed up the timing on that Ramirez has been brutal. Like, he's playing like he's 40. You're right, he almost f***ed that one up. He put Emilio in a tough position. La Roche made the play however. Great range to his right made it look easy by getting the short hop and it was not an easy play imo.
  10. i am pumped. HELL YEA! maybe the org will open its eyes to the way of defense in today's low run environment.
  11. Great f***ING PICK LaROCHE! THAT IS WHY YOU PLAY YOUR BEST DEFENDERS!
  12. Not a good look there with RV and Cooper IMO. It's like RV is just waiting for Cooper to do whatever the heck it is Cooper wants to do. I mean who's the f***ing manager and who works for who? Please don't think I'm saying anything other than a passing observation.
  13. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 13, 2015 -> 09:47 PM) Emilio has a pretty weak arm Jack of all trades master of none. That said, he needs to play more imo.
  14. I will say that I have enjoyed this game more than any other this year. Cleanly played in all facets. IMO, it's no coincidence that the best defenders the Sox have in the IF, played.
  15. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 13, 2015 -> 08:06 PM) NL, the pitchers bat. LOL, I wasn't even paying attention. I compared T Flow to a pitcher. s***.
  16. Damn was that Flowers in the wrong uniform? That was an awful chase.
  17. Nasty. 93 on the black. edit: or not, still will take the k.
  18. Great take from Avi. Seems he's starting to really see the ball well.
  19. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 13, 2015 -> 07:47 PM) Q not nibbling nice to see. He's got his good fastball.
  20. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 13, 2015 -> 07:47 PM) Is Q a strikeout pitcher now? He always has been. He hasn't been below 7.4k/9 since his rookie year. Last year he was at 8k/9
