TA to bench. Remilliard in and batting 2 nd. No brainer.
He took Jose's mild indignation at occasionally having to hit with a runner in motion way too seriously...

And that's a Lance Lynn Gut Check White Sox Winner!
He also leads our team in not making outs per plate appearance. Funny how those two things are aligned.

6/29 - Sox @ Halos (3:07CT): Lynn vs. Sandoval
Chicago: won't sign any starting pitcher to a long term deal. Also Chicago: consistently manages to pay below replacement veteran starters.

You can IL for mental health as well. Clearly he's not in a good spot, he's hurting the team trying to play through whatever it is.

Burger is down to a 113 wRC+ and over the last 30 days is hitting 182 and rocking a 234 OBP and a 600 OPS. Frankly, it looks like he was a flash in the pan and has been figured out. Nice story, but a hot 4 weeks doesn't make a season or career. On this sad sad team he stood out for a minute but now he's hitting like a poor man's rob deere.

Sox @ Halos - 838PM (Giolito vs. Barria)
just saw the 444 ft bomb, what a laughable call from Jason. "In the air, center field..."

Upcoming Week - Chance to get within 2-3 GB of the Twins
You're talking about winning two in a row like it would mean anything. I'm not trying to yuck your yum but dude the season is over. All that's left to figure out is how many games they will lose, 90, 95, or 100.

Nothing creates a bigger contrast in sports than a bad baseball team over 162 games and a forum that relies on 24/7 posts.

I have fairly big hands for a short guy, can palm a basketball and never had any problem slinging a baseball 80 mph from the OF into home in my athletic prime, but imagine doing this and having it called a "drop": Dude was literally dropping the ball like you or I would drop a ping pong ball and was penalized. Calvin was also a talented HS baseball player, and would have went in the top 5 round of the draft had he come out. There is video of him hitting easy wood bat HR at Comerica during batting practice when he was with the Lions. An incredible athlete. He's up there for me with Woodson, Frank and a few others as the best I have ever seen in person.

Ohtani is the closest thing I've seen to a transcendent athlete in MLB. It's like if Calvin Johnson decided to stick with baseball after HS. Robert is nice, but he can't sniff that.- 6/27- Sox @ Angels, 8:38
You really sold him bro.- Blow it the F Up

Grifol:- Upcoming Week - Chance to get within 2-3 GB of the Twins
I don't begrudge anybody optimism but the reality is the season is 50% over and every shred of of evidence is saying this is a bad team. Bad teams don't go on 7-3 stretches very often and they certainly don't recover from being 13 under .500 in late June.- Blow it the F Up
Another problem with the overall construction of the White Sox is that they have failed for years to find left handed mashers that are DH/1B types. They found...Sheets. Who hits like a 2B and fields like a DH.- Blow it the F Up
Well if there's one org that can help him stay healthy, it's this one...- Blow it the F Up
No offense to anybody posting it but it's sorta amazing that in 2023 you're still not aware of the defensive spectrum and how it affects value. I mean, maybe it's 'cause the team you follow doesn't seem to realize it either, to be fair.- Blow it the F Up
If he has a grievance it's that the Sox wasted a year having him take reps in the outfield instead of focusing 100% on 1B and hitting. While ultimately it's on Vaughn to develop his skills it could not have helped his development focusing on learning the OF at the MLB level as a rookie.- Blow it the F Up
Doubt it, but it would be pointless, Vaughn has to develop against MLB level pitching. AAA will do nothing for him.- Blow it the F Up
Right, I think I undersold it a bit. Maybe the most optimistic projections had the Sox at 80 if you fudged some games played projections.- Blow it the F Up
Coaching is a problem, but you can't make chicken salad out of chicken s%*#. A few of us noted that preseason, this team was projected by most systems for around 78-82 wins. Players that were supposed to push the Sox towards 90, including Tim Anderson, Eloy, Moncada, Vaughn, Lynn and a few others are simply no longer stars, or even average regulars. Anderson himself is the difference between 85 wins and 80 given he's gone from a reliable 3-4 WAR player to negative. Hahn has done a horrible job of recognizing and responding to true talent dropoffs and has made short sided trades (Lynn for Dunning, the whole Madrigal process) that have gutted what should have been new talent coming into their prime as others declined. He further failed in FA to even paper over 2nd base, and it's hard to give him much credit for giving Benintendi a poison pill type contract just to find an average regular in LF. - 6/27- Sox @ Angels, 8:38
