  1. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 10, 2015 -> 04:54 PM) You have a veteran in Soto. Who currently has a .493 OPS, is throwing out 17% of baserunners, 2 passed balls and 3 wild pitches in 93 innings.
  2. Bulls are really in that "missing open shots" mode right now.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 10, 2015 -> 04:13 PM) I wonder what percentage of the White Sox victories the past three years have been what you would call blowouts? Like yesterday's 8-2 win. It seems like the Sox don't win many by the blowout variety. Today, just have to hope to keep the Reds down and win a walkoff. IN 2014 we were 14-23 in games decided by 5 runs or more. 3-7 in those games so far this year. 7-21 in 2013, 26-16 in 2012.
  4. You'd think at some point one of these baserunners would score just by accident.
  5. Well that's a pretty decent start for Derrick.
  6. Unfortunately as DA will tell us you can't challenge close plays at 2b until you're in extra innings because you need to save that challenge.
  7. Hawk's talking about how he's been seeing so many different great plays made against us lately but what he's missing is that teams are really working on trying to get better defenders lately so that those kind of plays can shut down another team. We just don't think that way.
  8. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 10, 2015 -> 03:33 PM) Biggest difference between Sox and Detroit........Detroit gets 2 runs out of that deal . With their 2/3 hitters coming up? They'd get like 7.
  9. Holy cow. Failing to score there takes some skill.
  10. So the "do we just hand the warriors the trophy" talk is so long ago I can't even find it but I can't help but notice there have been 0 comments on that series since the Grizz took game 2, and now the unbeatable warriors are down 2-1.
  11. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ May 10, 2015 -> 09:14 AM) His slider is a thing of beauty. Such a sharp bite it's like a curve. I just seen the 4BBs and assumed he was a little wild. His slider is as good as advertised. His fastball control was a little wild but he might well have been just overthrowing things early a bit. We didn't see much, if any of the changeup, and so a legit worry will be "What happens on days when he just doesn't have the good slider working", and we know that does happen for guys. Suddenly that leaves him as a 1 pitch pitcher for the day and those days he could get hurt a bit.
  12. Ok, I can explain Duke being in, that made sense to me. Why you'd warm Robertson up I have no idea. Been too long since he worked?
  13. QUOTE (zenryan @ May 9, 2015 -> 10:52 PM) is that the combined ticket distribution for both games? yes
  14. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 9, 2015 -> 10:51 PM) We want Beck!! Stop wasting our good bullpen guys who we will need tomorrow Duke already came in when the tying run was on the base, may as well get him a normal length outing
  15. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 9, 2015 -> 10:25 PM) I thought Hamilton was a better RH hitter? Hitting .176 against righties, .276 against lefties. But given the choice between Petricka and Duke with the tying run on? Zach's been earning his role so.
  16. 5/15 on stolen bases this season. (Reds are 34/36).
  17. QUOTE (Chris Sale @ May 9, 2015 -> 10:10 PM) Is Marquis this bad or is our home run count just regressing to the mean? In 2006 he actually led the league in HR given up.
  18. QUOTE (Condor13 @ May 9, 2015 -> 10:06 PM) Innings limit in my opinion is a joke. Maybe if he didn't pitch in college and just cam out of high school. But his arm is ready for it. If you wanna limit his inning then just give him a cap of 6 inning a game that should give him about 150 innings on the year If you did 6 innings a game for 30 starts that's 180 innings.
