  1. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 05:22 PM) We need a 3pt shooter to open it up, Heat just sagging big time on Rose. Offense really hasn't been the problem here. Bulls shooting 43% on the game, giving up 43%, difference is entirely free throws. Stats are really balanced...usually the Bulls can just hold better than this on D.
  2. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 05:19 PM) Id rather have Taj try LBJ than Butler, He was on him there.
  3. QUOTE (TheCut87 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 05:13 PM) Can't knock Hamilton this game he is playing his tail off on defense Wade is 3/13 with 11 points, 7 assists though. The problem is that both Brewer and Hamilton can hang with Wade, but they're both SG's up against Lebron.
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 05:13 PM) Well, this game is going about as well as a game could go with no deng, no cj, and no boozer.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 05:06 PM) This is what they weren't doing nearly as much last year. They're playing fast. Last spring the Bulls wouldn't let them.
  6. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 04:58 PM) is there anyway i could go back and look at the threads that broke the news when we got these guys, id like to see what people thought back then It's called "Google". Rios Claim Sox Sign Dunn First, Vetoed Peavy Trade Official Peavy Deal
  7. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 04:42 PM) Maybe they are pacing themselves this year?Turn up the defense in the 2nd half, I haven't seen a lot of games this year but they seem to turn it ip a notch in the 4th, at least that was the case the games I watched. That might be the fact that Noah and Boozer keep getting benched in the 4th.
  8. Putting up 50 points in the first half against this team last year would have been solid. The Bulls D just hasn't been there.
  9. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 04:33 PM) Nobody stops LBJ bit at least Deng makes him work, he's making it look easy out there. The Bulls are only down 5 with Lucas having taken up minutes here. If James was just being slowed down a bit, that would make this a much closer game. He also doesn't have the same level of work to do on D, so he's roaming more.
  10. QUOTE (TheCut87 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 04:29 PM) Definitely missing luols defensive presence tonight Having him Against James has been huge in the past. Now James is 7/9 with 17 points in the first half. Yeah, that's missing Lu.
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 04:17 PM) Korver, Brewer, Watson, Asik, Taj vs Cole, Haslem, Miller, Battier, Jones. Don't see any difference at all. But you're judging the depth of the 2 teams when 1 team is missing 20% of their depth. That's just being silly.
  12. Here's a great page from project prospect.com with a bunch of slowed-down-gifs of his pitching motion that I'm not going to steal, but I highly recommend.
  13. Some detailed reviews on his stuff, worth following the link for more.:
  14. March: 2011 comparison with prospect Casey Kelly.
  15. A look coming into his weak 2011 season, just after being put on the 40 man:
  16. Scout.com summary of his first few years:
  17. Bleacher Report, ranking him as San Diego's #3 prospect in 2011:
  18. And now some scouting reports. Castro was a very highly touted pitcher who had a rough 2011. He's a classic "Coop will fix him" character. Here's BA's Matt Eddy:
  19. Seriously hard not to notice the Contreras look here.
  20. Full name: Simon Alfonseca Castro Born: April 9, 1988 in San José de los Llanos, San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. Right handed pitcher, also bats right. 5 years minor league service time as of me writing this post. Was added to the Padres 40 man roster following the 2010 season, should have 2 minor league options remaining. Castro was the #58 prospect in MLB according to the pre-2010 Baseball America rankings, and the #57 prospect in MLB in the 2011 BA rankings. On December 31, 2011, Simon Castro was traded along with Pedro Hernandez to the White Sox for outfielder Carlos Quentin.
