  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 02:51 PM) Juan Pierre's starting the year hitting well...surprising. Juan Pierre's inability to hit was a big, big part of our terrible april last year.
  2. That was the best pitch to hit Rios has had all day, and it was the only one he didn't scald.
  3. Jackson has no control on anything. Even pitches over the plate are so far away from AJ's target that the ump is calling them balls.
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 01:53 PM) Looks like Edwin's velocity is down. I'd be more worried about his lack of control. He reminds me of watching Humber in ST.
  5. That's only the first damn out?
  6. Rios kills yet another ball for an out.
  7. It took the 2010 White Sox 6 games to score 20 runs.
  8. Beckham's back on the 2009 doubles roll.
  9. Juan Pierre is hammering the ball.
  10. That is a damn beautiful job of hitting by the 20.
  11. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 01:23 PM) I think it's purposeful though, just to get the K. If you notice, he can go 0-2, 1-2 pretty easily, and then just throws garbage to get them to chase. Either way, I don't like it. He threw 8 more pitches that inning than he should have.
  12. Jackson getting a little wild here
  13. 10 degrees warmer and that ball Rios hit is at least off the wall, maybe over it.
  14. It's probably worth looking at those #'s in a different way...as fractions of population. It's certainly true that manufacturing has declined...but it hasn't been the government that has made up the difference. It's been a shift to financial products, healthcare, and a service sector, with an actual decline in retail as well.
  15. Mann, if Dunn makes contact, it always looks like it's hit hard.
  16. That's the kind of hit Beckham couldn't pull off at all last year. Hit a pitchers pitch, blooped it out into shallow CF.
  17. You know what I just realized about Q's game yesterday? He not only was hitting the ball hard...he was doing so against a LHP and on the road. Lately, he's been only really good against RHP and at home.
  18. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 12:55 PM) Yeah I know, they already had a commercial saying it was coming on next.. its just unusual there is no pregame and its just gonna start right into the game.. I'd guess that somehow relates to the fact that it's game 2 of the season. Either they're doing something else (filming promos?) or they just didn't want to preempt programming just yet.
  19. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 12:52 PM) My WGN has some Chuck Norris crap on, the game better come on next It will be on at 1, this is a national WGN broadcast.
  20. Bulls are now 1 game behind the Spurs.
