  1. Time for us to get a recording studio.
  2. Really think Freddie Mercury would have gotten there first if he'd had more time.
  3. Perhaps because to everyone else, you are someone else.
  4. Now you understand, it's all your fault!
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 05:53 PM) kapnography has nothing to do with kapkomet. Like Kap doesn't spend his spare time fogging up glass.
  6. Justly so.
  7. Heat them up, it'll probably improve the taste.
  8. Fancy that, we had the same idea.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 05:36 PM) It would be like AJ being bitter about being moved for Mauer. I bet he is.
  10. Eat those schwetty balls, they're delicious.
  11. QUOTE (Tex @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 04:37 PM) You may also want to ask the nurse or a Doc about it. Does anyone know if veins move? A "stick needle here" tat might be kind of funny. Veins definitely move. Not by much, but I've got about a 2-centimeter-diameter circle on my left arm full of needle sticks from the red cross, with the vein moving slightly from side to side.
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 05:20 PM) We could just do an offseason of various "Lets Make a List" topics instead. Xenagogue, lead us where we should go!
  13. Different topic...winner of an ad.
  14. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 03:01 PM) Furthermore, financial engineers have not "nearly destroyed the world ecomony". Not sure where you are getting that. I lived through 2008. I think that's more than an accurate description. And that has to do with being productive in the sense that if we're giving financial engineers credit for enhancing productivity through all their wonderful new ways of moving around risk or whatever you want to call it...we have to take credit away when those financial instruments implode. Edit: one simple thought to sum up my feelings on the matter. If "Financial Engineers" have done anything productive at all, then we should be doing a better job at allocating capital to desirable projects now than we were 20-30 years ago, because we've had an explosion in "Financial engineering" (and in the share of our economy going to financial engineering) over the past 30 years. I for one don't think we have suddenly gotten better on that measure, and if you think we have, I have an $8 trillion housing bubble to sell you.
  15. QUOTE (3E8 @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 01:49 PM) What is the general consensus on flu shots these days? I remember hearing some negatives about them regarding the ingredients and their effectiveness/safety, but I got such a bad flu this season that I may reconsider getting them in the future There is absolutely no reason not to get a flu shot. If you're allergic to eggs, you need a specific variety not prepared using them. Aside from that, there really is zero reason not to do so. Most of the "vaccines are evil!" negatives that you hear are either overblown or flat out lies. People try to come up with reasons to justify their hesitation for a needle stick or to justify their hesitation to introduce something into their bodies that they didn't prepare. You can have soreness at the site of the injection, some headaches, runny nose if you do the nasal variety. Compared to a full blown flu, which can put you up for days, wind you up in a hospital, or kill you, the side effects should be mild.
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 02:29 PM) *quizzically reads the past page or so of posts* Really, you should know better than trying to understand this.
  17. οβνιουςιψ we disagree.
  18. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) Why would you want to avoid Friday night? I could be wrong, but I would think that games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights would be the best rated. In general I think Friday night is death for most television. In particular the 18-49 demographic tends to not be watching tv that night. Saturday gets some of the same effect as well.
  19. Maybe we should just stick with Greek letters.
  20. If you're concerned at all...there is a nasal mist version of the flu vaccine. Just as effective, shouldn't cost you any more. Usually all you have to do is ask if they have the nasal spray version available.
  21. I just play the cards I'm dealt.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 01:19 PM) Fine. Its my party and I'll b**** if I want to. Good luck, French loving hippie.
  23. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 01:07 PM) Why are they waiting for Wednesday to start this series, though? I mean, there has been plenty of time between the LCS's and now, plus you can have games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday if you start the series on Tuesday. Because baseball just isn't fun if it's not played in November. The serious answer continues to be the TV schedule. Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, (Monday), (Wednesday), (Thursday). You're guaranteed weekend evening games and you avoid Friday night.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 01:12 PM) Dill dips disgust me. French onion dip all of the way! Eventually you're going to be expelled from your party for that one.
  25. I have no idea how to interpret this other than the top 2 lines. But it's kinda cool
