There was a fire at the construction site of the proposed Mosque in TN earlier this weekend. It has been ruled arson.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Aug 29, 2010 -> 10:12 AM) What was 99.9% of this rally about? How great Glenn Beck is.

QUOTE (bobryansson @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) You're certainly right about the POTM numbers for EJ. The problem is...there have been 3 guys who have been just as good as Jackson, all of whom have thrown 7-8 more innings.

QUOTE (mcgrad70 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 09:02 PM) His abrasiveness aside, his horrific handling of pitchers will be his downfall. Wha? I think his handling of pitchers is vastly better than his handling of offenses.

What a catch by Alex there.

QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:43 PM) trying to get danks the win was a bad ozzie move Trying to get Danks the win? He pulled him once he got people on this inning. Do you really trust this bullpen to hold the Yankees down? If you do, I have a Tony Pena to sell you.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:43 PM) You mean Carlos Silva wasn't one of the more dominant pitchers in baseball when he was 8-0 for the Cubs? You just illustrated my point. Even average pitchers can have dominant stretches.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:41 PM) Edwin Jackson has never had a bad outing for this team. Until he does, he is every bit of a "dominating" pitcher for us. That's as useless of a definition of a dominant pitcher as you could ever come up with.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:40 PM) Tony Pena is horrible. I want that trade back. Brandon Allen isn't exactly selling people hard on him at AAA this year. Tons of HR, good number of walks but 93 strikeouts in 350 at-bats as a 24 year old in AAA. (Not that I'm defending Pena).

8 runs, 4.1 IP for D1. Yuck.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:38 PM) I was referring to him saying no pitcher on this team is dominant. Jackson, is dominating. There's a reason you were called on it. He's dominating right now...that doesn't mean he's a dominant pitcher full-time (yet). Gavin Floyd was absolutely dominating in June the last 2 years, but that doesn't offset his aprils.

Since 2004: PK14: .883 OPS, 228 HR. Lee: 204 HR, .852 OPS Ordonez: .871 OPS, 111 HR.

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:36 PM) There was also a lot of right handed power with Thomas, Ordonez, Konerko, and Lee for a few years. Even Crede can be added to it. I'll bet PK14 has the best overall numbers out of all of them since the start of 2004.

QUOTE (bobryansson @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:35 PM) We needed better. ^that. I still can't figure out what was going on with him tonight. His stuff was better than his line. It's not often I say that.

Yeesh Johnny...yeck

QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:30 PM) Johnny's at it again. From 0-2 to the walk. again.

QUOTE (mcgrad70 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:29 PM) When Frank and Mags were here, he batted 6th - where he belongs. WTF? He wouldn't even bat 6th on the Yankees if they were healthy.

We're back in the game tonight because of Jones. another big one.

If the pattern holds, the Sox get another 2 run homer next inning. Konerko's up 2nd right? Rios gets on...

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:17 PM) Buster_ESPN Heard this:Right now, the Dodgers' intention is to not just dump Manny on the White Sox;CWS must make it worth their while with a prospect And the saga continues.... Their actions speak louder here.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 08:21 PM) Hi, my name is Edwin Jackson and I am the pitcher of the month for August. Edwin Jackson beat up Trevor Cahill?

"I was saying An-Druuuuuuw"

1 more!

Come on lineup, let's get another one back this inning.

A 123 inning. Yay!
