  1. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 10:56 PM) Thats gay. I was a big fan of the Sonics of the 90's with those crazy uni's with the Needle on it. Payton, Schrempfh, and Kemp. I'm excited to see the new logo and what not. If I like it, I'm definitely going to go out and get a Durant jersey. Will they re-do that add of Durant taking off all the Jersey's now and have him removing a Seattle Jersey last?
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 08:35 PM) Should have used Booner in the 9th, and saved Thornton for extras (11th). Or used Boone in the 6th. Whatever floats your boat. I think we've helped Sizemore take the AL lead in home runs tonight by feeding him righties.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 08:32 PM) Ugh, why? Where the hell is Boone? Ozzie's managing just f***ing horrible tonight. Saving Boone for Sizemore in the 11th.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 08:32 PM) Here's a question...why not just leave Dotel in for the 9th after he looked great in the 8th? Well, I know for a fact we both have b*tched about Dotel being left in for more than 1 inning before. That's about the only bullpen related move I can't complain about. Dotel should be treated as a 1 inning pitcher all year.
  5. Brian, as your punishment for extending this game, take a seat.
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 07:13 PM) Imagine if they kept him in and he tore a tendon or hurt himself big time. They'd be stuck with him for the rest of the year. EDIT- Not going to happen. Doesn't even have to be that bad..."Soreness" in your arm should scare off a ton of suitors. That's all Zambrano had after his 130 pitch outing.
  7. Well Fathom you were right. Here comes pitch 120.
  8. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 07:03 PM) Whats the odds Thornton starts the 9th for Sizemore? The .225 BA against lefties and .765 OPS really scream for Thor or Logan there.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 06:26 PM) They'll easily let him go 120 pitches to end the night if he keeps looking like this. We're not even close to getting hits against him. Here's the question though...what might the GM be asking them to do with his pitch count? You can't trade a guy if he suddenly starts feeling unexplained soreness in his shoulder.
  10. Well, by keeping Jose in, we managed to set him up for the loss. Nicely done.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 06:04 PM) Hell yes! Contreras battled his off that inning, and I'd love to see Ozzie turn it over to the bullpen now. 95 pitches for JC through 5.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 05:54 PM) I'll never underrstand why Ozzie is so hesistant to call for a pitch out in obvious running situations. Do you really think it would have made a difference?
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 05:51 PM) And a triple for Carroll on a terrible pitch. Carroll was looking for a pitch outside to hit to right. Rain please! More likely this run scores and then it starts raining.
  14. QUOTE (G&T @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 05:49 PM) Walk ends up at home. Fixed
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 05:41 PM) Looks like there's some rain headed Chicago's way. Be darn nice to get through this 1/2 inning.
  16. Jose has suddenly retired the last 9 batters he's faced. (And the one before that got an assist from Pablo)
  17. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 05:27 PM) Shouldn't expect a whole lot out of CQ vs. lefties for the time being yet either. Some reason why?
  18. It's really about time for Q to take his bite of the cheesburger.
  19. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 05:22 PM) As long as he's not only starting against lefties, which he can't hit against. Unless you really need a home run.
  20. The Scariest thing about Anderson's splits? He's 7 for 46 against lefties, but all 4 of his home runs have come against lefties. He has 3 hits against lefties that have stayed in the park.
