  1. That's fine but that's not called up after 4 weeks. Give me a .950 OPS and I'll call him up after 4 weeks.
  2. Wow that's weak sauce. You're joking right?
  3. It would be disappointing if this move ended the Bulls' chance at a superstar.
  4. If somehow the Bucks renounced him that'd be great for making the Bulls able to have option or nonguaranteed years. What benefit would there be to the Bucks?
  5. He wasn't hitting well enough at Charlotte to force that rapid of a callup.
  6. If the Yankees have to give up a top 100 prospect for Hamels then Hamels will not be a Yankee that would be idiotic of them.
  7. Oh wow now there's a trustworthy source.
  8. If that happens, then we're starting to ask how the scouts missed the potential physical problems he might come up with.
  9. Like I just asked, give me the contract details. Don't go like 5 years on this guy, we can do this without blowing next year's cap space. Do that, and I'll call this a reasonable gamble.
  10. We already knew that about Mitch, I'm noting that because we now officially know a member of the House Republican Caucus was involved, now we also know that Paul Ryan and the House Majority, the folks who put out that weak investigation report, they are also defending their own members who conspired with a foreign intelligence agency.
  11. Has anyone seen the contract details? Because the Bulls could offer a big first year deal to him with a second year that is an option year and still hold their cap space.
  12. If someone will give something of value for Abreu, jump at it. That's Rick Hahn level dumb at this point.
  13. No one is giving you a huge package for Rodon. Not this year. Coming off a major shoulder injury, still inconsistent, at most he'll have a stretch of 4-5 good games by the trade deadline, assuming his next 3 are all really good? I'm not sure you get a top 100 prospect for that, seriously. If the White Sox are moving Rodon it's because they've decided something about him means they need to sell him off for a pittance, and you'll get a pittance back.
  14. So hypothetically if that is correct, would you like to watch a person who actively requested the assistance of Russian Intelligence in his reelection campaign attempt to question the FBI about why they're so biased in investigating that? Because he was in the room yesterday.
  15. I don't remember where else we were talking about whether or not Ventura would get booed, but here's the answer:
  16. I'm still going to be skeptical that it will happen until it actually happens.
  17. Because the Red Sox were ready to compete right then and Moncada was not ready to be called up right then. That one is easy. I'd make the same call.
  18. So let's just note this...Mike Trout is now 2.5 years away from Free Agency, putting up another of the best statistical seasons in baseball history, and has been to the playoffs once with his team for 3 games. If you're the Halos, you've at least got to start thinking that maybe he won't extend there with a team that can't make the playoffs.
  19. The fact that people are saying these moves are prelude to another move that hasn't yet happened makes me think that nothing will happen.
  20. The Sale Trade was not light, IMO. You pay a premium for a consensus #1 prospect in baseball because that guy should be a dominant force in your organization for a decade to come. Getting that along with a top 20 pitching prospect is a major score. The question remains whether or not we will be able to do anything with that talent once we acquired it, or did we get fleeced because our scouts just looked at someone's prospect lists and didn't notice flaws that should have been caught.
  21. Jose Abreu is simply not going to bring back anything decent. I don't care if he turns it around tonight and has a good next 2 weeks, you cannot hide the 42 game stretch where he hit .200 with a .510 OPS. If you're a contender, even if his numbers are great the next 2 weeks, you're going to worry that he's going to snap back into that guy sometime down the stretch. If he doesn't turn it around literally right now, then you won't even be able to give him up for salary relief. Soria and Shields will be traded, Soria will bring back something decent but probably not in the top 20 of our system, Shields will bring back a bit of salary relief to build equity with ownership, and he might not go until the waiver deadline.
  22. I don't think there's any way Rodon gets traded. Coming off an injury and still so far the same inconsistent pitcher he has been for 4 seasons. The white sox shouldn't trade him unless they get an ace-like package back for him based on potential, but no one is giving up that kind of price until he proves he's actually an ace.
  23. LOL so you went to Factcheck.org, saw that it was checking a Pelosi quote, and didn't bother actually to read literally anything more of the article? There's like 10 peer reviewed articles cited in that piece alone.
