  1. I agree that it should be on Kenny's long list of things to get done, but not before you deal with PK, Frank etc. The last thing that we need is for AJ to get a long term deal and stop feeling the need to prove his worth, although this should be a pride issue regardless of contract status. That being said, AJ has done a wonderful job with this staff and I would love to see him here for years to come. Plus, what would we do without his speed on the basepaths?
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 5, 2005 -> 01:46 PM) Yup, CC started, obviously didn't do very well. CC gave up 5 in the 5th inning, got pulled.
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ May 5, 2005 -> 01:35 PM) Do you have access to a jump to conclusions mat or something? LOL
  4. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 5, 2005 -> 01:30 PM) Any sites that give pitch counts? MLB Gameday gives pitch counts.
  5. We really need to be more patient at the plate. 6 pitches an inning is ridiculous.
  6. As we all know, Paul is very hard on himself when things aren't going well. I wonder if the pressure of having to account for a large chunk of the power production, along with his impending contract status is forcing him to press in the batters box? Assuming that KW does want to keep him around beyond this season, I think that he needs to get a deal worked out ASAP. This will show the Sox commitment to him and should definitely help him to relax and start swinging a better bat. Don't wait until the season ends because the pressure on Paul will only increase. Agree or Disagree???
  7. Thanks for the info. I will check it out.
  8. Lyle Overbay: deal for 2005 season worth 446K was renewed on 2/23/05 Agent: Steve Hilliard I got this off mlb4u.com I'm not sure on his time of service though, don't you need like 6 years before you can become a free agent?
  9. I wonder if those contacts will help me during my 12-inch games?
  10. Brian Anderson vs. White Sox... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/bvsp?pitcherId=2994 Rowand owns him, hopefully this game will get him on track. Late inning pinch hitter, Freddy Garcia???
  11. Also, if I remember correctly Viz technically wasn't supposed to be available for that game. I think he had thrown in both of the 2 previous games and was supposed to have the night off. That being said, he still pitched a scoreless inning or two before they got to him. It was a pretty gutsy outing if you ask me.
  12. Iguchi seems like the kind of player that Ozzie loves. He's smart, tough and unselfish. Batting in the 2 hole he knows what his role is, getting on base and moving runners. He has done a terrific job so far. I agree that the power numbers will come once he feels a bit more comfortable.
  13. So far so good on Iguchi, I am interested to see what adjustments are made by pitchers once they get a look at him. I think that he is going to see a lot more slow curves and sliders the next time through the division. He has proven that he can hit the hard stuff, has stuggled a bit against good breaking balls. Hopefully he will be able to make adjustments to whatever the pitchers throw at him. On another note, I am new to the site and love what I see so far. It will be nice to have somewhere to "SoxTalk" with fellow fans.
