  1. I could be wrong, but the way that I figured it out we really only need a 5th starter for about 13 or so games the rest of the year. 3 times in July, 4 in Aug, 4 in Sept and 1 in Oct. That is if Ozzie uses every off day to skip the spot in the rotation. The rest of the starters would still go on normal rest, so it shouldn't mess them up either.
  2. This Bayliss kid looked pretty good last night, KC has some solid young arms.
  3. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) How many pitches does buehrle have? 90
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:32 PM) JimH"endrey" Cubs GM moonlights on soxtalk...very nice!
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:28 PM) 43 straight starts for Mark where he's gone atleast 6, simply amazing. FRANCHISE
  6. According to MLB gameday Carl's HR was LONG. Anybody watching confirm or deny this?
  7. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:00 PM) www.bat-girl.com Duh..thanks.
  8. Anyone have a link to Batgirl's site? I would like to check it out.
  9. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) Black Jack. Soon to be Buehrle. My thoughts, exactly.
  10. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 10:10 AM) Here is my line up prediction... Ozuna-SS Iguchi-2B Thomas-DH Konerko-1B Everett-LF Rowand-CF Dye-RF Crede-3B Widger-C Well done, SS2K5... I just heard the official lineups and you are right on. As you said, just swap Dye and Rowand and also Widger and Crede.
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) Damn, I called the ticket line today and scored primo seats behind the plate, gotta love the sox charge authorization form!!! You got tix for Friday's game? Is this just the regular ticket office? What is the sox charge authorization form???
  12. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 03:13 PM) I believe Oden will be heading to IU then, as some have said earlier. He's a local product and Davis has been scouting him forever. If the Hoosiers actually play well this year (make the dance, get to Sweet 16) I believe it's a given Oden will attend. It will either be IU or Wake Forest for Oden. OSU will be out of the picture due to the new investigation that is about to take place. Conley also will bolt OSU and will try to get Oden to join him at Wake Forest. For IU's sake, I hope that he chooses Wake. If Davis gets Oden that will probably buy him another year or two and we can't have that!!!
  13. I voted Minnesota. They have the talent and experience. Cleveland has the talent, but may be a bit too young right now.
  14. I am looking for anything in the lower deck for saturdays game? 2-4 tix needed. Thanks in advance.
  15. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 08:27 AM) I still think El Duque will be the guy. If he can stay healthy, Yes. This is a situation that KW didn't think he would have to deal with. I wonder what they are saying behind closed doors about McCarthy. He is still young and I'm sure he will be fine, but he hasn't been the same pitcher we saw in the spring.
  16. QUOTE(Al Lopez's Ghost @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 06:40 AM) Well, the Scrubs are thinking about not having number 22 pitch a rehab game, but putting right back into action against us on Sunday. Aim for the elbow, boys! Has there been any new word out of Sox camp whether or not Jon gets moved up? Ozzie couldn't have been too thrilled with McCarthy's performance against the AAA Royals of KC. I would like to see Jon get the start, especially if the Cubs are going to rush Prior back to face us.
  17. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 04:01 PM) Who cares? Do you people honestly let some famous person's fleeting affiliation with a team affect your love of the White Sox? I'd rather they didn't go...Next thing you know Bill Murray is going to be throwing out the first pitch and talking about how he's always been a Sox fan.
  18. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 03:57 PM) Ozuna at short tonight Mac just gave the lineup, I think this is what he said... LF Pods 2B Iguchi DH Thomas 1B Konerko CF Rowand RF Dye C AJ 3B Crede SS Ozuna
  19. Scott "The Polish Hammer" Putski Sorry, obscure WWF reference.
  20. QUOTE(Benson&Rexage @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 01:48 PM) I would rather not watch football than watch the Colts though. And Bobby Knight is an overrated piece of trash whose fan base in old imbread hicks from southern and central Indiana. Try quoting a real basketball coach like coach K or Dean Smith or even Lute Olsen I would love to hear your reasoning behind thinking that Bob Knight is overrated? Is it his 3 NCAA championships? Is it his 854 career wins? Is it his 11 Big Ten titles? Or is it that he took a basement Big 12 team and turned them into legitimate contenders year in and year out? You don't have to agree with his approach, I don't always, but you can't dismiss his results.
  21. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 09:20 AM) vazquez was throwing to a MUCH larger home plate last night... I didn't know the strike zone changed from pitcher to pitcher... yeah, i noticed the same thing. But the umps strike zone isn't what beat Hernandez last night. He couldn't throw first pitch strike and fell behind almost every hitter. Both Cubans have a huge problem pitching from behind in the count.
  22. I was actually just talking about this with a coworker today. He was asking me for advise on his fantasy football draft and I really didn't have an answer for him. Normally by mid-June I am already neck deep in fantasy football stuff. This year has been different, I'm not really even thinking about football at this point, just trying to give all my attention to this season.
