  1. IBB to Lee. That'll load em for Daubach. I think they're gonna bring in Embree, and then maybe we'll pinch hit PK. Ugh. 6-4-3 coming up, LOL.
  2. NICE. Double to LF for Magglio. 2nd and 3rd, 0 outs, Sox up 3-1!
  3. Atta boy Hurt! Single to left for Frank, and Jimenez with a nice baserunning play as he makes it safely to 3B. 1st and 3rd, 0 outs.
  4. Lead-off walk for Jimenez (his 2nd BB of the night). Let's see if we can get him across.
  5. It would be a good call clujer, but maybe Manule should let him have the chance to finish? Keep Koch warmed up just in case. Anyone know if we have Koch and Marte warming? If Loaiza was in the 90's, I would maybe consider it. But with him over 100 pitches, I don't think they should do it.
  6. Christ...we only have 3 hits tonight. An insurance run or 5 would be nice.
  7. Popout to Jimenez, and we're going to the bottom of the 8th with a 2-1 lead. Loaiza at 100+ pitches now, so he's out in the 9th, and in comes Billy -- that's what I'd do, at least.
  8. Damon looks like he has his 4th hit....but NO! Carlos with a nice little catch for the 2nd out in the top of the 8th. for you Carlos!
  9. Crede has been throwing the balls across the diamond MUCH better in the past few games. If you'll remember, he was throwing nearly every one in the dirt, but I've been watching lately, and his throws have been perfect. Good to see!
  10. Well, he hasn't snapped yet. He had that horrid game against Oakland (I think), then he rebounded for 5 or 6 very good starts (including 1 in which he lost 1-0 to Detroit, I think), then he had 2 OK games where he gave up 3 ER in each, and now tonight he's pitching very well against a very talented Boston team. He's just been excellent so far.
  11. I say Loaiza for the 8th (he's only at 91 pitches, so he's fine), and if we still have a lead, Koch for the 9th.
  12. 91 for Esteban through 7. 96 for Wakefield through 6+.
  13. Unless he completely implodes in the next 2 or 3 starts, he's a lock IMO. He has to be...doesn't he?
  14. He K's Jeremy Giambi to end the 7th. It was his 6th K of the game. Through 6 1/2, Sox lead it 2-1.
  15. Wow, Harris made a very hard play look very easy because of his speed. 2 down in the 7th. Runner on 1st.
  16. And that .231 is even better when you consider the fact that he hardly EVER plays in consecutive games, so he's got to try and stay sharp with limited AB's. That's very hard to do -- even for a veteran like Brian.
  17. Heh, yeah, that's another point -- it's not even Jose's decision most likely. And anyway, how many guys on our team are going to score from 1st on a double to LF? I'll tell you how many -- 1, and that's Jose. He was safe, but like we've said, we got ripped off yet again. White Sox law -- if there's a close play, the call goes to our opponent.
  18. NICE. JUSSSSST was fair, and the Sox take a 2-1 lead! atta boy BD!
  19. 2 walks in the inning for Tim. Hopefully the Sox hitters are starting to recognize the rotation of the ball better now as we get later into the game.
  20. I am taking Ed and John's word over yours. One is an experienced player, one is an experienced sportscaster, and both are experienced announcers - I just trust their opinion more than than I trust anyone else's. Sorry. What did they say? That they should have got Damon out on that play? If so, I'd be SHOCKED because Damon was STANDING ON 2B the whole time! Believe who you want, but they are incorrect.
  21. Why engage in conversation with people who are "zealous" and "blind"?
  22. I thought he was safe when the play first happened, and when they showed the replay, even the Boston announcers conceded that he appeared to easily beat the tag.
  23. Good call. Forgot about the Candy Man.
