Then R Kelly can come after me and charge me with "slander" (verbal) or "libel" (written) because i'm calling him a RAPIST People like Roman Polanski and R Kelly shouldn't be making 1 penny from their "art" because they are disgusting, cowardly, heartless people. :fyou them. The difference is the Polanski was convicted. You're right, everyone who's guilty gets convicted. What was I thinking? Reading comprehension problem, again, today? You can call Polanski a rapist without someone saying "no he isn't" because he was convicted. R Kelly.. has not yet been, however if there is a God he will be soon. And you're right again, everyone who's convicted is guilty

All Fans Bring CORK To Wrigley for the Sox/Cubs

Showing your kids that the answer to name calling is fighting is a beautiful message to send them. -
Ugh. This could get really ugly if Danny doesn't find the strike zone -- and it could get even uglier if/when he does, as this Boston team is a very solid offensive team.

I read last night that Daubber is starting today.
-
Definitely deserves it -- unless, like I said last night, he implodes over his next 4 starts. His stats own Halladay's, and if you take away his 1 bad start, he's got an ERA in the 1's, and should be 11-1 instead of 10-2.
-
Startin like right now. WGN *Ahhh, the sweet sound of Hawk's voice *
-
I don't know the lineups yet, but I think Graffy should start at SS and Daubach should start at 1B. Jose and PK aren't giving us much of anything lately.

Heh...last time I checked, it takes 2 people for something to qualify as a fight, so you can't lay the blame solely on Cub fans. -

Uh, get your facts straight Steff. He's got a "habit" of ending up in bed with just-turned-teen girls.
-
I think he was in the minors for 8 years. He was the college player of the year in 1993, heh. I think he "burst" onto the scene in '01.
-
He should point that out to Mark Buehrle. ouch........i suppose you didnt see the clip on the news the other day where mark said after winning, hes tryin to win the fans back???? im thinking hes very sorry for makin those comments and said so the day after.. he also said he made the comments out of frustration .. which is something im sure all of us can understand........... Athletes nowadays need to watch every word they say, because reporters are just chomping at the bit to hear them slip and say something even remotely controversial. Everything they say is going to end up in an article somewhere, and everyone needs to be congnisant of that, or they will learn the hard way like Mark is.

He should point that out to Mark Buehrle. I'd say Boston, Philadelphia, and of course New York have the most demanding fans. If MB was a Yankee with a 3-10 record, he would have probably hung himself by now.

I posted the pertinent parts, but here's the entire article.... After playing behind knuckleballer Tim Wakefield for four years in Boston, Brian Daubach was eager to take his hacks against him. "You talk a lot of smack over the years, especially when it's one of your closer friends," Daubach said Wednesday. "One game doesn't really show who has the edge, but we'll see [Wednesday night]." Daubach showed plenty. He delivered the game-winning hit in the sixth off Wakefield as the White Sox came from behind for a 3-1 victory over Boston. Daubach's two-out double scored D'Angelo Jimenez. Daubach said he didn't take any special pleasure in beating the Red Sox. If anything, it was just the opposite. "I didn't think it would be this tough playing old friends," he said. "Me and Wake, we played cards together on every flight for the last three years. To be out there facing him while my fiance is sitting with his wife, it's weird. It's just really weird." The 2-1 lead that Daubach supplied was enough for Esteban Loaiza, who continued his run of greatness by throwing eight strong innings. The only run he allowed came on a fourth-inning groundout. "Right now I'm really locked in on everything—on and off the field," Loaiza said. The 31-year-old right-hander became the American League's third 10-game winner, joining Seattle's Jamie Moyer and Toronto's Roy Halladay. But neither of those pitchers can touch Loaiza's league-leading 2.15 earned-run average. Loaiza figures to make four more starts before the All-Star Game, which will be July 15 at U.S. Cellular Field. "I would be excited just to make the team," Loaiza said. "But it would be even more special to start the game." Daubach won't be an All-Star, but he has played like one in front of his old teammates. He came off the bench Tuesday to rip an eighth-inning homer off Mike Timlin. As Daubach rounded first base, he raised his right arm. It was an unusual display of emotion given that his team still trailed. "I usually don't get too excited," Daubach said. "I'd never show anybody up. But … I think the circumstances speak for themselves." Before this season, Daubach spent all but 10 games of his major-league career in a Red Sox uniform. He averaged 21 homers for Boston from 1999-2002 but left for Chicago after the Red Sox declined to tender him an offer. Daubach has remained close to several Red Sox players. "Yeah, everybody," he said earlier in the week. "It's a lot different than here." How so? "Just different," he said. "Leave it at that." Daubach has been disappointed with his playing time since joining the White Sox. But that could be changing. Daubach has earned a starting spot for Thursday's game. "We have to give him every opportunity to go out there and hopefully get hot for us," manager Jerry Manuel said. That means Paul Konerko, who grounded into a bases-loaded double play in his one at-bat Wednesday, might have to earn his way back into the lineup. As for Daubach, he said he's ready for the four-game series with the Red Sox to end. "I'm sure going to Boston [in September] will be that much tougher," he said. Just a fair warning... If you insist on throwing cork on the field at Wrigley, be prepared to get your ass kicked, ejected from the park, and spend a few hours in jail. -
This is cut and pasted from ChicagoSports.com Before this season, Daubach spent all but 10 games of his major-league career in a Red Sox uniform. "Leave it at that." Doesn't sound like he's very happy here. I hope we can get him some more playing time -- I think that's the cause of a lot of his apparent frustrations. He's clearly outplaying Paul right now, so there's no reason why he shouldn't be starting in his place. Another thing cut and pasted from the same source... Loaiza figures to make four more starts before the All-Star Game, which will be July 15 at U.S. Cellular Field. How amazing is it that a non-roster invitee has a shot at having 14 wins at the AS break? Esteban!

I only care what a player makes if I see him not trying out there. These guys are making MILLIONS to play a game that millions of kids and young adults play for out of sheer love -- no money, just for fun. And for the few hundred that are talented and fortunate enough to make it to the big show, the Major Leagues, it should be treated as a privilege. If someone is making $10M a year (or even more in a lot of instances), I expect to see him trying his best out there. He may not always succeed, but if there's a lack of effort, that is simply inexcusable in my opinion. But the amount of money that they make does not bother me like it does some people. They have a talent that people are willing to pay good money to see, so why begrudge them for it? If anything, hold it against the owners who overpaid for MANY players over the past 5 years or so, not the guys out trying to provide a good home for their families.
-
What's amazing is that with the pitching they've gotten that they're not in first by 5 games. Their offense is going to cost them eventually IMO.
-
Well yeah. Wonder why?
-
Hmmm...I got something different. Are you sure your figuring is correct?
-
Wow. Well... 30th should be Wright 1st should be Garland 2nd should be Buehrle This, of course, is assuming they don't skip people due to off-days and also assumes there will be no rain-outs.

He lived a long life, though. I was gonna post this, as I just read it, but I figured nobody cared since it hadn't been posted yet.

5.5 back guys. Unreal. And KC is just 1 game back.

The game just ended...give them time to update their site.
