Sox pitchers have retired 17 Boston hitters in a row. Going to the bottom of the 8th, and we've got Daubach, Lee, and Valentin coming up.
-
Yes, Frank doesn't get that many good pitches to hit it seems. He just needs to cut down on his strikeouts (right now he's got more K's than BB's) and hopefully Magglio can get hot. If he does, then Frank will start seeing more pitches to hit and then he can start mashing. Until then, 1 for 3 with a single/double and a walk sounds good.
-
Hope you're right.

Marte still in there for the 8th. If it's tied or we're losing in the 9th, I think we'll use Gordon. If we're winning, Koch.
-
Yeah you're right, I forgot that he just gave up those 3 runs. God damned Jimenez.
-
I loved that sign they showed when they came back from the commercial break... Thomas HR = 16 Cork = 0 I'd add 1 thing though Body-enhancing drugs = 0
-
Yeah. The only guy so far that didn't do well was Colon.
-
Gotta be Marte..no?
-
God damn, Marte's been getting hammered lately. WTF gives? Meanwhile, 2 outs.
-
Kind scorer. Home field advantage.

I don't know how it was scored, but I would give him an error ALL the way. Lee was off on the play, and Walker got the grounder on the run and acted like he was going to flip it to 2nd for the force, but Lee was already on the bag, and by the time he recovered and made the throw to 1st, Jose was called safe. Didn't watch the replay, so I don't know if it was a good call or not, but had Walker thrown to 1st in the first place, Jose wouldn't have had a chance to beat it. E4 IMO.

Oh my goodness, what an AWFUL play by Todd Walker! The Sox get a break...let's see if we can capitalize on it.
-
Oh believe me, so do I. But, ever since joining the Sox, he's been infamous for allowing the big inning. Then he'll mysteriously settle down. That's something that he HAS to get away from if he wants to have any success at the big league level. With our offense the way it is, we cannot afford to get into too deep of a hole like we did today. But, he's got 3 scoreless innings since the 1st, and we've managed to get 2 runs, so we're still very much in the game. Hopefully Danny can keep it up.

Hey cluj, what was the question? I basically asked how much leeway the Sox have with Danny since he's winless and has a very high ERA. Hawk and DJ basically said that we need to give Danny a chance to work himself out of it since he won 14 games last year and is coming off the elbow injury. I can see that point of view, but at the same time, it's going to be very difficult for the Sox to go on any real winning streak if we've got a guy with an ERA over 6 in the mix.

WTF is Jimenez doing? UGH! But, he does drive home Willie to cut the lead to just 1.
-
Heh...that Danny question they just read is from me. I'm famous!

This is the major leagues. 1st and 2nd with 1 out isn't a good situation, but you've GOT to be able to throw strikes and get out of the jam.
-
6-4-3 for Carlos. *Sigh* 3-1 Boston.
-
Nice to see Magglio getting to 3rd on that single by Daubber. 1st and 3rd, 0 out.
-
True, Crede made the error on a play that could have ended the inning (likely would have been a forceout), but you have to lay the blame for this 3-run defecit on Danny. He walked 3 batters in the first inning, and let a 1-2 count go full and then gave up the 2-run single. Crede didn't help, but Danny just flat out failed us in the first inning.

John Stamos doing one of these 10-10-987 commercials? LOL, poor guy. If I was him, I'd be too busy banging Rebecca to have ANY time to do some lame commercial.
-
Sox go 1-2-3, and Danny comes out to probably give up a few more runs. I got up early for this?

Then R Kelly can come after me and charge me with "slander" (verbal) or "libel" (written) because i'm calling him a RAPIST People like Roman Polanski and R Kelly shouldn't be making 1 penny from their "art" because they are disgusting, cowardly, heartless people. :fyou them. The difference is the Polanski was convicted. You're right, everyone who's guilty gets convicted. What was I thinking? Reading comprehension problem, again, today? You can call Polanski a rapist without someone saying "no he isn't" because he was convicted. R Kelly.. has not yet been, however if there is a God he will be soon. And you're right again, everyone who's convicted is guilty Are you saying that Polanski isn't guilty? Refer to a previous post of mine regarding Polanski for the answer to that.

If anyone in our rotation is going to get ripped, it should be Danny. He hasn't won a game yet this year, and his ERA is well over 6. What's this guy's problem? Big game today, and right out of the gate he puts this struggling offense in a VERY deep hole. Maybe Danny needs to have another visit to Charlotte so he can figure out how to pitch.

Danny is just awful today. Get him outta there.
