  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 11:54 AM) I swear, every time someone says that, they go out and give up 3 runs in the next inning. However, I can't fault you for dreaming Not this time with Buehlre on the mound
  2. Rotoworld has the Dodgers as the most likely suitors for Shingo...
  3. One run should be enough with Buehrle on the mound if he is his usual stuff. Besides, he is due for a win.
  4. Line ups are in: Chicago White Sox LF Podsednik CF Rowand DH Everett 1B Konerko C Pierzynski RF Dye 3B Crede 2B Harris SS Uribe Cleveland Indians CF Sizemore LF Crisp DH Hafner 1B Hernandez SS Peralta RF Blake 2B Belliard 3B Boone C Bard
  5. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) How long ago were you at Lincoln? Im going to be a Senior @ NCHS this year so thats....ummm...4 yrs ago? Hated that place....
  6. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 07:39 PM) Wow dude, that's insane. Yes that's from Lincoln, I don't go there anymore but did 2 years ago. Good to see some local ChiSox fans.
  7. Off topic here, but I have a Q for WHarris1. I read your school's PRIDE acronym and was that from Lincoln Junior High School? I went there way back in the day and believe they now have a similar thing.
  8. Twins back to within 1 run with a RISP, no outs (boone is up so 1 i guess )
  9. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 06:59 PM) Haha its like Positive attitude Respect responsibility Inegrity Diligence Empathy encouragement :puke That school wouldnt happen to be Lincoln Junior High School now would it? IIRC it had something similar to that when I went to my younger sisters band concert...
  10. Twins and Angels tied in the top of the 5th at 1.
  11. We will have the top of the order next inning somehow. THat was a weird inning, but we can now afford for Freddy to have a rough first inning if needed.
  12. QUOTE(marsh @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 04:09 PM) Let me ask you this. If KW wanted to trade for lowell, how do you think KW would want him to play? Would he want him to be having a career year or a down year? You want to trade for players when thier value is lowest and trade your own guys whose value is highest. For an example of this see Koch for Foulke. This is true. It is just a gamble on whether or not he can make a BIG comeback. I dont know what has been wrong with him since the second half last year...
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) He hit pretty well in the playoffs, but that was after he put up monster numbers that season before he was hurt...he literally played so well that year that teams couldn't trade for him. When I look at Lowell, I look at a guy who I'm really starting to wonder if he can find whatever he lost...for whatever reason (take your own guesses) he has plummeted in quality at the plate this year. His numbers right now this season are WORSE than Crede's in every single category except for number of walks. Crede has more RBI, a much better average, higher OPS, more runs scored, in fewer at bats than Lowell. If you're frustrated by our hot and cold 3b, you'd be doubly frustrated by a guy who has basically been cold ALL YEAR. And on top of that, he's a clear downgrade at 3b. This one would be a mistake, I don't care what you say about Burnett making up the difference. I would have to agree about Burnett NOT outweighing the Lowell v. Crede difference. If Lowell's numbers arent bad enough this year, his contract situation is even worse for his perfomance :puke . I would only do this deal if somehow Lowell and Crede arent included and we give up someone else, like a highly touted prosect. It just seems silly to downgrade at 3B when we could also use some offense on top of great pitching. If this trade were to go down, we would really have to depend on Lowell providing a lot of offense.
  14. I dont see Burnett getting dealt until the deadline or a few days before. I am sure the Marlins are just waiting for a great package that they cant pass up as teams will start to get desperate with so many teams aggressively pursueing Burnett. Just my .02, but I hope it happens soon.
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) ...Whatever, all this talk is probably for nothing because I doubt we trade for Omar. Ding Ding Ding. I'm all for waiting for a move to be done before discussing it, but I guess there isnt much else to talk about during the ASB.
  16. QUOTE(whitesox91403 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 04:59 PM) 1st time swept in July against a team that always beats you. Not bad, every team does get swept at some point in the season. Take a break and come out swinging in the 2nd half. I really hope so. It is just so frustrating to watch a winning team go in and get swept. I need to remind myself it is Oakland, but it is still rediculous we play like crap against them even with our top 3 starters. Hopefully we will upgrade soon though. I still have faith. We have played great up to this point. We will see what the 2nd half brings.
  17. That is most likely Willie's last AB with the Sox.
  18. Hmm...Konerko will be swinging for the fences, whos knows what will happen with Willie, and hopefully Dye is a PH for Rowand
  19. I wish we had just lost this one 8-5 or something. Save us the pain. However, I am excited to see what Kenny does very soon trade wise. This team needs a little something extra for the second half.
  20. Well, we need a few upgrades by the trade deadline. Big BP arm, decent 3B/SS, and a solid 5th starter IMO.
