Pod does things that aren't even kept track of in the stats... He is a big speed presence on the bases like Frank is at the plate. CLee was great but we can't just have a bunch of guys hitting home runs.. That doesn't work. We had to trade Lee to get the team we have now, which is obviously successful...
  2. Ugh ESPN commentators.. I would take Hawk and DJ over them anyday...
  3. Cleveland is a team of streaks... Their streak will run out.. Minnesota is always a proven threat, but not this year.. SOX WIN
  4. I just looked at their power rankings and I'm not sure how they can put washington as #1.. Yeah espn does seem to underappreciate the record of the sox. I am sick and tired of the yanks and bosox.., but what can you do?
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) Ya, I was absolutely shocked when I took a look at his era, I knew his record was bad but I would have never thought his era was that bad. I am shocked to see that ERA too. Greinke has some good stuff. I guess this isn't his year, but he will be a good ace for KC or some team someday..
  6. Greinke is usually solid verses us, but look at the offense he's had behind him and you see the 1-7 record.. This might turn out to be a good pitchers duel
  7. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 10:25 PM) welcome don't let the gamethreads fool you, those can bring out the worst posters here. I couldn't agree more.. Welcome to the forum. You will enjoy it, booooo twins
  8. Cubs lose!!!!! and the Twins are on their way to losing..!!!!! but the indians won again... geez
  9. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 01:14 AM) The double call was correct so it WAS a double. And it's AJ's fault that Garcia threw 2 wild pitches? Neither one was AJ's fault in my opinion. They were pretty uncatchable. Yeah I agree, I think it is called a wild pitch for a reason... It was the pitchers fault not the catcher. That would be a passed ball.
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 06:20 PM) He's not pitching well, just drop it. Admitting that a guy isn't having a good game doesn't make you less of a fan.
  11. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) Good ol' pessimists... I might have let Freddy go for part of the eighth. He was rolling since the fourth and losing this game won't end their great season. GO SOX!! I was part of most of the game thread and no negativity came from here. Someone actually told me that saying stuff negative about the Sox doesn't mean I don't like them.
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) Why Nomo? I love his wind up and the way he pitches. I enjoyed watching him while he was in LA and Baltimore.. He is just creative, different, and good now with TB.... :puke
  13. AJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ YES!!!!!!!!!!! f*** yeahHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
  14. twins down 7-1 and maybe more......... nice at bat tadahito!!!
  15. anyone remember carl in left field in oakland when scotty was injured? I think he ran into the wall and got injured.. He played like s*** then
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) Thankfully Gagne is hurt, I still think we're going to win. didn't gagne come back for a little bit?
  17. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 07:13 PM) Son of a b****. This is the kind of game that makes you want to ram your head into the tv. or throw it out the window like I almost just did..
  18. HIT THE BALL WHERE THE OPPONENTS AREN'T.. COME ON!!!
  19. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) he's right. He's pitching a hell of a game despite being completely lost the first couple of innings yeah he has recovered, guess I misunderstood the way he put it. I definitely wouldn'c call it one of his best ever outings
