Sox Vrs Dodgers on ESPN Sunday
I have a really good feeling about this game, but don't expect that to carry over into the game thread

It's destiny
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 10:46 AM) Yeah this was a great win, but look at the August schedule. All of these are must win games right now. Talk to me on Labor Day. That August schedule is just a chance to prove that we're better than the best teams.

Please sweep the Dodgers
QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 07:37 AM) Weaver loves to throw at Sox hitters. He was involved in the 2000 brawl with the Tigers. With a national TV audience and the Dodgers in a funk, this game could be entertaining. I'm condident that our guys can kick some ass and play some baseball. We have some beasts on this team, and a whole helluva lot a heart. We won't back down.

Carl Everett this year
Great post, Jim. Everett's a crazy-ass competitor...and I mean crazy in more ways than one. You just gotta love the guy. I stand by my assessment that Everett has been just as good as Dye in RF, if not better this year. Didn't Everett, Rowand, and AJ all get their hits with 2 strikes and 2 outs? That's just insane.

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:31 PM) Widger is fine. I woudnt care if he started. I'd much rather have AJ catch Contreras. And I mean much.

- Mike Cameron to the Yanks?
QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) Cameron is having a very good year so fa. for the amount of time hes played That limited amount of playing time is what I think is causing the good stats. I'm sure he'll revert back to his old self with more at-bats.- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 10:01 PM) Nobody's debating that fact but they looked like total ass for 8 innings tonight and Garcia being thrown out there in the 8th was abominable. ^What he said. Plus, some of us are just normally pessimistic. There are fans of every team that are like that, and there are fans that are normally optimistic. They're all fans, though. People are raised and/or grow differently as fans. Anyway, And what the hell,- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 09:26 PM) If this is corpseball.... Just drop it, man. Enjoy the win.- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
You know, I'm actually kind of glad that Ozzie messed up just this once. If he doesn't leave Garcia in, the game might not have ended with the walk-off. Gotta love it.- AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All those exclamation points do no justice to how great I feel right now.- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 08:44 PM) This is one magical f***ing season Oh yeah, you know it. This is like the 2000 season x 1,000,000! Wow...- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread

Homerun or nothing.- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) All I've seen Everett do is make routine catches in the outfield. Dye has made diving/sliding catches. Crede has two hits tonight, he's a better hitter than Ichiro! Dye is sliding or diving most of the time because he's too slow to get to a ball in time. He's so slow out there, it's ridiculous. He looks like he's running in knee-high sand.- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) One running catch. Gimme a break. I'm not basing it on one running catch. In the few games that Everett has played RF, he has done just as good or better than Dye. Dye has absolutely no range in the field and his arm is nothing close to what it once was.- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
Seriously, Everett is a better right fielder than Dye right now.- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
Son of a b****. This is the kind of game that makes you want to ram your head into the tv.- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
Does anyone think we'll even have a chance to get a baserunner against Brazoban if it comes to it? Hey, a hit.- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
QUOTE(Tadahito15 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 08:04 PM) Twins into some trouble in the 7th...meanwhile the Tribe is about to win and bring it to 7.5 GB. Get ready for a 3 team race unless this is there only hot streak. Ugh. I hate 2-1 losses and I really hope I dont witness one here tonight The Indians are facing some terrible teams. They are not for real. They will hit a brick wall whenever they face their next real opponents. And thanks for making this game almost impossible to win, Ozzie. I can't believe how stupid he is at times.- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
Thanks, Uncy Ozzie!- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
Wait, I just realized Freddy is still in the game. Why?- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
And the side K's. Sorry, Freddy. Welcome to Jose Contreras' world. Where's Gene? We need him to start another thread.- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
I gotta give Freddy his credit. He had a few really bad innings, but he managed to somehow have a quality game. It'd be nice to get him a win...or anyone on our staff a win. Score some runs, for the love of God.- White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
Drew robs Pods, and I feel even worse. And Iguchi flies out, his average is falling like a stone. - Mike Cameron to the Yanks?
