  1. QUOTE(JimH @ May 8, 2005 -> 01:14 PM) Good memory, it was raining and I think the game got called early but the game was official. I do remember that it was an opposite field shot, too. Buehrle in some trouble here.
  2. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 8, 2005 -> 01:12 PM) Willie Harris on the Aflac question. I believe Miguel Olivo did it, too. Didn't another Sox guy do it, too? EDIT: And, by do it, I mean hit a homer in your first major league AB. I think the game where Olivo hit that homer got rained out before it could reach 5 innings, so it didn't count or something.
  3. Lopez with an RBI single. I'm beginning to feel like a Twins' fan. We can just call up some random minor leaguer, and he'll contribute to the franchise.
  4. Man, AJ really worked for that hit. Runners on the corners, 1 out. Is there a player on this team that anyone doesn't like? Well, besides maybe Timo...
  5. Yeah, but you know what else is really good? FOUR steals in a game!
  6. Guys, Garland is now 6-0! Who woulda thunk it?
  7. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) Was there ever any doubt? GIMMIE A HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!! Hell Yeah!!!!
  8. If the Sox sweep tomorrow, the Blue Jays will be at .500. You just know that Mariotti will complain that we're only beating bad/mediocre teams, while ignoring the fact that the Sox are a big reason some teams aren't doing so well.
  9. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) Puts the bat on the ball and swings hard is my guess? Yeah, that'll do it.
  10. Schoeneweis is in! Let's give him some love. I hope we destroy him.
  11. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) Neal Cotts: 6 batters faced, 6 batters out, not a bad day for him And Garland had a bad outing. Someone always steps up. You gotta love that.
  12. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) Cotts had a very good outing. I'm very glad to see that. I'll second that.
  13. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:33 PM) Widger's 3rd hit of the day. He's really been a big surprise.
  14. Do you guys think Cotts will pitch the 8th? Or do you think that someone might come in for the old 2-inning save? That is, considering the Sox don't score any more runs.
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) HE GONE, 2 DOWN. Neal made Koskie take one ugly swing. Phew, that guy scares the hell out of me every single time he's up.
  16. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:26 PM) No. They hit a couple of shots. Just atom balls. Oh, ok. I'm basing this on gameday. I should probably hold off before I just to conclusions like that.
  17. I think the offense has already decided that this one is over.
  18. I'm really scared to have Cotts go back out there for another inning or two. With the way he walks guys, that 4-run lead can get erased really fast.
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:20 PM) 2.38 now? Well, 2.42. I'll still take it!
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) Jon departs, rough outing. His next start is going to be big to see how he can bounce back from his first tough start of this year. I was really hoping he would just have a 1-2-3 inning and leave on a positive note, but he gives up a homer to Russ Adams (?!).
