As other have said, if the Sox lose the season will ultimately be a failure. But something I just realized put a smile on my face. We traded Freddy Garcia and got Gavin, who NO ONE thought would ever be worthy to pitch for our ML team. But look what happened. He was ace-worthy this year, and if guys like Gavin, Danks, CQ and Alexei stay as good as they've been and get BETTER, I see a lot of hope for the future of this team. It was just a nice thought amid all this chaos.

Wow. I missed the first half of the game yesterday because I was at work. I'm watching the replay right now (yeah, I'm stupid), and after hearing Hawk go NUTS in the 4th inning rally I am more depressed than ever now.

I'm ALWAYS optimistic, but for the first time I have SERIOUS doubts. A team with a ton of momentum facing KC; a team with no heart, no soul and their heads seemingly literally up their asses facing Cleveland... outlook = not good. We'll literally need a miracle.
