lol. That team's division was TERRIBLE that year. Even though they are under performing, most teams in THIS division are better teams than the Sox. Simply put, Tigers are making a big comeback, we're a terrible team ATM, we're possibly about to relinquish 1st place very soon, and history has shown meltdowns after events like these. They're really isn't much optimism here right now. The Sox need another streak. But this looks bleak right now.

So a TECHNICALITY is something to be happy about when this team is terrible and soon about to LOSE that technicality? LOL.

I'm usually not pessimistic, but think about what you just said for a minute. Sox lose bulls*** game to the Cubs = good chances? I think not. The mentality alone will be scary.

After this game, I'm entirely done defending Ozzie in every way. I haven't been an Ozzie fan for a long time, but I'd still defend him from time to time. I just can't stand his f***ups anymore. Of course, we have no idea how differently the game would have gone, but anyone who'd speak against the better option of putting Linebrink in the 7th by using the walk off as an argument (which I've seen some people do already) is a moron. Ozzie didn't put us in the best position to win and made several miscues. The game is on Ozzie.

Why is it assumed he wouldn't? That's not the point anyway. You're supposed to put your team in the best position to win. Ozzie didn't do that. In fact, when it actually requires a bit of thinking, he never does. I understand we lost because of a different set of circumstances, but the game could have gone entirely different if Ozzie had made the right move. Maybe we still lose. But if we do at least we know our Manager gave us the best opportunity to win. But he didn't.

STFU. I'm tired of people defending Ozzie. He didn't put us in the best position to win. The outcome itself could be a direct result of it. Ozzie blew this game. We'd be in a much better position to win if he'd left Danks in or Brought Linebrink for the heart of the order in the 7th.

I can almost agree with the "we deserve to lose" sentiment, but then again, do I? Those runs more than likely wouldn't of beens cored if Ozzie had been smart (lol) and kept Danks or brought in Linebrink. But then again, I guess you never know.

You sound like Hawk. I'd say putting in Dotel and cutting Danks for URIBE is a far bigger risk than leaving in you're already cruising pitcher with a relatively low pitch count, especially considering some of the key f***ups Dotel has made so far this year.

Oh, yeah... I forgot that Danks hasn't faced any righties or the heart of the order yet today... From a predetermined standpoint, Ozzie made a (2, actually) terrible move(s), simple as that.
