Forget the name...but it was insanely boring.  I got sick of watching people walk.

 

The last scene was pretty good, where the QB and his girl are hiding and the gunman finds them. It is just a scene that leaves a sick feeling in your stomach. But you are absolutely right, the movie is insanely boring.

I hate to say it, but it's probably because there's at least a logical reason to be very concernend about Grossman's ability to stay healthy.  He's shown no ability to do so thus far in his career.  I believe each of the last 2 years, the Bears have gambled on Grossman staying healthy without a solid, proven backup, and each year, they have lost that bet.  Orton is at least serviceable in that he didn't immediately lose every game he played, but at least at this point in his career, he can't be counted on to win games.

 

If the Bears have any doubts at all about whether or not Grossman can stay healthy, they have reason to consider other options. Which means, when people start saying those things, they're believed.

 

I see what you are saying, and I am all for a good backup, but this source clearly isnt indicating some competition for Orton as a serviceable backup, and rather is talking about a starter. Also, Pennington and Brooks just dont seem to fit the mold of what the Bears would be looking for. Can Pennington be counted on again? It seems like another Rex situation, except his arm is messed up instead of his leg. Brooks, well, you dont know what the guy can and will do. He has flashes of brilliance and stretches of less than mediocrity.

 

If i had to choose between these bozos, it would be Brooks just because you know he can stay reasonably healthy, but I would rather not make that choice.

If I had Aaron Brooks and his inconsistencies in one hand, Chad Pennington and his ruined shoulder and arm in the other hand, and Rex Grossman and his two fluke injuries in my borrowed(from crazyman) fannypack, there is no contest here. Rex may or may not pan out, he DOES have to stay injury free, but I would rather put my chips on Rex.

 

I am still wondering why people believe the source from realGM who says he has media credentials and is at the combine. How often do people like that show up on this site and get shooed away? We all know Steff has some inside knowledge, but she doesnt blurt it out on this messageboard unless she is correcting someone who is spreading false info about a particular player or game.

Well, eventually Dolan will realize that Isiah has put this mess together, and in order to fix it he will have to rid himself of his "prized" GM. I honestly can not think of one trade Thomas has made in his entire career as a NY Knick GM that didnt make me scratch my head and wonder what the hell he was doing. If I didnt know better(and maybe I dont, who knows), I would say that Isiah Thomas is deliberately sabotaging the Knicks. Sure, that is something you wouldnt think could happen, but can you honestly look at the transaction log throughout his time as GM and see any sort of method to the madness? I sure cant.

The highlighted bands are the ones I can still stand. The whole Napster thing really soured me on Metallica, even though in the back of my mind I know that the old stuff is still good, I just cannot bring myself to like it anymore. Creed and Nickelback, no way.

 

Working at a mainstream rock station for 4 year REALLY made me change the type of music I like.

This was from another message board.  Clearly I was right all along.  Angelo was hinting with his statements he really does not want Rex to become a starting QB for Chicago ever, regardless what Lovie may want.  In fact Lovie may not get his contract renewed as a result, wanting Rex to become a starting QB for the first time when nobody else in the organization wants it may cost him his job.

I can't help it, these guys are kind of a guilty pleasure.

They're so much better when Justin Hawkins lays off the Tiny Tim s***.

They have a decent sense of humor and I like their sound.

That said, they were s*** in concert when I saw them in 2004 with my favorite band, The Wildhearts. Too many costume changes and not enough songs (all they played were the 10 songs off their debut disc).

Did you happen to catch Lovie Smith's interview from the combine 2 days ago?  When he said this is Rex's team, and there is no QB competition.  He said it has always been Rex's spot and that will not change. Just wondering if you caught that, because maybe when he said it was Rex's spot, he really meant Orton?

I wish it were that easy.  We were sounding like the NE Patriots.  Everything was about the team, and everything was right.  Players were all saying '05 was in the past, and they have to realize that it's a new year, a new prize to go after.  However, this is just wrong.  I don't want to ignore the fact that Frank's wrong too, but KW isn't right for getting this out in the media either.

Ty Law threw his team under the bus countless times while he was there over contracts and his friends leaving the team, and afterwards when he left the team he had words about Belichek again. Two years ago in the playoffs, Rodney Harrison b****ed the whole time about how his team was not picked to win again and they were disrespected(even though we all had a pretty good idea that the Patriots were going to win). This year, it was Tom Brady crying to the papers about how they were disrespected. Its the same everywhere, we have just never experienced a world championship and the media scrutiny that accompanies it, the Patriots are far from perfect.

[IPOD Trouble]

wait a second, you cant just bring your ipod home and turn it on(well at least I couldnt). I had to download the Itunes programs on my computer, and then plug it in to my computer and let it charge for more than a few hours before I could do anything with it. When you plug your Ipod into your computer, it always freezes up, you cannot disconnect it from the computer without disconnecting it THROUGH the computer. And if you cannot disconnect it through itunes, usually a USB icon shows up on the bottom right hand corner of your computer screen(the three pronged wire icon), you can right click that, hit disconnect, and then hit STOP to disconnect your Ipod that way.

 

Is your computer up to the specifications needed for an Ipod? You might have to try a different computer. Or, you might just have a defective Ipod. I remember having all kinds of problems when I got mine, but they turned out to be nothing really.
