  1. The story that Logan is loosely based on, "Old Man Logan", explains that Wolverines healing factor has almost completely stopped working, and he has begun aging
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 3, 2017 -> 11:46 AM) Heard Zaza Pachilia (or however you spell it) is getting death threats for falling into KDs knee. That is just ridiculous. It wasnt malicious, they are teammates. Zaza was pushed and fell backwards, KD happened to be standing there. Unfortunate injury for sure, anyone throwing out death threats is just dumb
  3. That press conference was so full of bulls*** and contradictions I don't even know where to start. Well, maybe I do. The sky is blue here
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 28, 2017 -> 06:10 PM) Anyone ever take cooking classes? My side passion in life is cooking and I only really have skills and techniques ive picked up from other people and I'd like some formal instruction. a good friend of mine owns the Cookery in Peoria, and has classes every day for a variety of different styles of food. She is top notch, although it is a bit of a hike for you. But, if it is a weekend class, couldnt go wrong
  5. Nunes has zero interest in investigating this. ZERO cant imagine why
  6. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 2, 2017 -> 11:30 AM) All House Judiciary Democrats call for criminal investigation of sessions. https://twitter.com/BraddJaffy/status/83735...src=twsrc%5Etfw All House Judiciary Republicans say "wait, lets think about this for a while. Was it that bad? maybe. idk"
  7. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 2, 2017 -> 08:33 AM) Senator McCaskill pushes back against the idea that it'd be normal for sessions to have contact with foreign ambassadors as part of his role in the Senate https://twitter.com/clairecmc/status/837272...src=twsrc%5Etfw E: she released a statement reiterating this and calling in sessions to resign for having "misled the Senate." Wish they'd use more forceful language and say flat out that he lied under oath. E: but apparently she did meet with a Russian ambassador several years ago? https://twitter.com/BraddJaffy/status/83730...src=twsrc%5Etfw Someone needs to set up an excel spreadsheet of all of the lies they tell, so they can refer to it when they need to lie again
  8. Chaffetz is such a parasite, I love when he speaks up at times like these and he gets destroyed over his previous rhetoric That town hall is so damning for him
  9. Sessions lied to congress about contact with the Russians during Trumps campaign. Say it ain't so!
  10. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Mar 1, 2017 -> 10:12 AM) General question. Why does anyone think we need greater investment in our military (carve out here - we do need greater investment in the VA and other assistance for veterans, but I don't think that's where Trump is pushing for more money to go)? We already spend more on the military by a massive amount than does the rest of the world. I know that Trump has promised a large influx of cash to the military. But why does anyone think this is necessary? I believe Trump is about to go to war for oil in Iraq and Iran because, well, that is what he has talked about many times. Despite being told it is a war crime.
  11. Bradys age and productivity makes this a really tough decision for the Patriots. They may very well see Garrappallo as the future, but Brady doesnt seem to be slowing down, so what do you do? If you want to keep JG, then you are going to have to pay him/match any offer made next offseason, or let him walk which I sincerely doubt they want to do after investing a 2nd rounder in him.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 1, 2017 -> 12:01 AM) Don't you naysayers at least LOVE the fact Trump is optimistic and a huge supporter of our great nation?? The man is an American through and through and doesn't apologize like some PC people always do. I mean isn't that SOMETHING to be optimistic about?? Don't you get sick of negativity all the time? p.s. I realize this is coming from a guy who is so so pessimistic about the Sox. I guess I need to work on that. I never realized that refusing to apologize makes one an american through and through. And no, im not optimistic about a racist, misogynist, bigot telling everyone that he is going to put his racist, misogynist, bigoted policies in place that are generated to increase the wealth of the top 1% and destroy the middle class. What i am sick of, is things like bomb threats at jewish centers and shooting of people like that poor Indian man in your general zip code, greg.
  13. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Feb 28, 2017 -> 07:24 PM) http://www.secondcityhockey.com/2016/12/16...-draft-contract Hawks drafted the kid and still own his rights. The stuff he is retweeting makes it seem like it's gonna happen soon
  14. Jay Zawaski keeps tweeting about a guy in the KHL named Shalunov that apparently wants to be on the hawks
  15. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 28, 2017 -> 02:45 PM) President Trump suggests anti-Semitic threats across U.S. are coming from within Jewish community w Yea, David Duke tweeted that at him earlier. Giving him some help with talking points
  16. Oh i remember that, where he called himself the least anti Semitic person ever. And then Jon Stewart pointed out that Trump last year attempted to humiliate him on twitter by telling everyone that his birth name was Leibowitz
  17. QUOTE (ptatc @ Feb 28, 2017 -> 01:52 PM) True but if they were planning on winning in the near future, the following year or so, why would they trade him coming off his best years? I don't think they planned on being this bad for this long. They thought they would be in contention very quickly which is why they hired the older but experienced coach not a young rebuilding coach. Edit: In hindsight it would have been the best move but they didn't think it would go this way. This is why Pace is paid to be GM though. And the point remains, it is extremely bad to let an asset walk
  18. Betsy DeVos dovetailing Historic Black Colleges and Universities very nicely with her voucher program lmao And speaking of the voucher program, here is 8th graders ambushing a representative http://www.scarymommy.com/senator-don-huff.../?utm_source=FB
  19. QUOTE (ptatc @ Feb 28, 2017 -> 01:12 PM) I guess I look at it a little differently. Teams change so much from year to year and the big shift in records as well. The need to take every year that they have a chance at it and try to win. Fans may look ahead but with the way the Bears have switched coaches in recent years they really can't just throw seasons away. Injuries and FA make the teams much more volatile than baseball. I get what you're saying but would a future 3rd round pick (speaking from the perspective of 2 years ago) be worth trading him when they were trying to win? They weren't trying to win 2 years ago, they made that abundantly clear. And 2 years ago Jeffery was coming off of his two best seasons as a pro back to back, they would have gotten more than a future third round pick
  20. Eric Berry got paid, 6/78M. 20M signing bonus, 40M guaranteed
  21. Wright needs to hang it up. His body just is letting him down
  22. Alshon Jefferys injury history is extremely overblown. He had one year where he was consistently injured
  23. QUOTE (ptatc @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 02:23 PM) Yes there is. Teams may not want him if he is expensive. Now they can try to trade him "as is" but why would they when the Bears may not offer him a deal. They can just wait until he is a FA and try to sign him for a cheaper deal than the Bears would sign him for. He doesn't want to be here and would make the Bears pay far too much to try to keep him. Other teams know this and will wait it out. Why trade for him when he will be signed for just money and no draft picks. your entire premise revolves around right now, this week. The bears have had two years to get to this point and frankly, they dropped the ball if he walks. There will be a team that meets his demands, there always is.
