two weeks ago me and the family went camping in South Haven Michigan. We got rained out on Sunday and had to leave early, but Saturday was beautiful at the beach. Such a nice little town and beach, and so close
  4. So I have mentioned that I am a big fan of the band Failure, which broke up 19 years ago after their critically acclaimed "Fantastic Planet" album. They reunited last year, and their new album "The Heart is a Monster" comes out next week. The reviews have been pretty damn good across the board, and today Entertainment Weekly streamed the entire album http://www.ew.com/article/2015/06/18/strea...rt-is-a-monster The music frequently falls under the Grunge category(fans call it Space Rock), but it isnt quite that. Anyhow, i absolutely love the new album, and encourage anyone to check it out along with their previous three albums "Comfort", "Magnified" and "Fantastic Planet"
  5. Im burying my head in the sand on Sale. If they trade him i will be an extremely sad panda
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 23, 2015 -> 12:14 PM) That contract isn't exactly friendly. there is no point in this post
  7. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 23, 2015 -> 11:53 AM) What happened to Rowan? severe case of big slow and ugly
  8. Sony and Marvel announced Tom Holland as the next Spider-Man
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 23, 2015 -> 11:06 AM) Is Coal City even in the local WGN viewing area? Probably, WGN goes pretty far. Regardless, that was the town that was hit. There were many more towns around it that are closer to Chicago that could possibly get a tornado.
  10. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 09:20 AM) I'd love Correa from the Astros, but I know that would never happen. LOL. I would love Mike Trout while we are dreaming outloud
  11. Hinrich for Boogie. done
  12. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 23, 2015 -> 10:14 AM) Like Sox fans would be any different. In this day and age of alternate channels, there should have been a way to switch the Cubs over to CLTV or WPWR. I get the tornado coverage was very important last night, but to have no place for the game at all for a long period, that didn't make sense either. i cant speak for anyone else, sox fan or cubs fan, but I think the lives of people in the viewing area trumps any game coverage at any time. Knowing the possibility of a tornado is on its way is pretty important for a lot of people
  13. there is a lot of butthurt Cubs fans this morning complaining that WGN dared to switch to tornado coverage last night during the game
  14. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 08:55 PM) He had a promising cup of coffee with the D-Backs a couple of years ago. And then our system got a hold of him.... Reed had a promising first couple years with the White Sox. And then the Dbacks got a hold of him.....
  15. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 11:29 AM) I can't see I see teams actively trying to lose? If they trade Samardzija does that make active losers? much more than Samardzija
  16. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 09:45 AM) Buxton never really had those killer numbers in the minors like Springer or Bryant. It may take him a while wasnt that due to injury?

I think the name definitely looks like a peripheral, but gamers aren't dumb they can figure out that it is a next gen system for Nintendo. The problem is always launch titles for them. They launched with Nintendoland and a bunch of ports. They needed to have Mario World 3d or MarioKart ready for launch, and they didn't have anything more than Pikmin on the way. Nintendo continues to march to their own tune though, and 3ds continues to sell games and make money for them so they don't seem to mind console mistakes
  18. Gallo probably hopes he doesn't have to face Sale again this season
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 06:07 PM) Who the f*** is Hernan Perez? Random non sequitur
  20. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 03:32 PM) i really wonder if the owners really sees this team. if they do, aren't they pissed about it?? or are they that blind and think that they are doing a great job and the fans do not support them and that is why the team is doing how it is??? you really think that anyone in this organization thinks this? They are businessmen, they want to win because winning brings in more money. I dont think anyone is happy, from both a competitive and financial point of view
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 12:04 PM) You would have easily said the same thing about Tony LaRussa in 1986. Yet he still gets mentioned. Hawk still gets crap for firing him. Bobby Cox, Joe Torre, when they managed bad teams they had a bad record. If firing the manager or the hitting coach or the video guy or whatever made the White Sox win more games, fine. If it is just to appease meathead fans who won't go to games anyways, and the losing will continue so they will just move on to their next target, it makes no sense. again, blaming the "meathead" fans. If it isnt trolling with your "where are the fire steverson posts", or trolling with anything John Danks, are now trolling with "hey hawk fired Tony larussa same thing Amirite", you continue to blame the fans.
  22. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 11:05 AM) It's their nightmare let them dream it. Blame is the name of the game please
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 11:41 AM) But as Robin said, they practice it hundreds of times. There is no doubt that was Eaton's ball. Alexei shouldn't give the impression he is camping under it because, like most teams it will make the OF pull up. They shouldn't, but they do. It's still Eaton's fault all the way. People can blame Robin all they want. I just think that whichever other guy they want to have the job, if they were given the exact same circumstances, it's not like there would have been an extra 15-20 wins a year. IMO, firing Robin, and I don't think they will, isn't going to solve the problems. It will make some people happy, but they still won't go to games, and they will find someone else to blame when the same crap keeps happening. If Robin was fired today, and they continued to play like they have played, I am certain the fire Steverson threads would be popping up next. DA, you dont want to blame anyone except Soxtalk. Its never the players, managers, or coaches fault, just the people who are pissed off that this team looks and plays like s***
  24. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 08:13 AM) with ref to stan and the salary cap i will explain later he was, at the time employed, to the best of my recollection, to another team. it was the like good ole boy connections. tallon did nothing to have been gotten rid off. however this past season, stan show his smarts in addressing that need in trading for additional talent. now this off season with the state of fa's on the team, now he will be able to put indelible mark on the history of this team, at least for me. The main reason the team had to be retooled after 2010 was because of Tallons mismanagement of the cap.
