Official Game Thread 7/7 - Sawx vs Sox 7:35
Great. We have to listen to Hawk complain about balls and strikes from a 1st inning AB for the rest of the game?

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) I'm sure that gave the Red Sox more motivation to light him up, as Schilling was definitely more deserving. As well as a handful of others.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 07:59 PM) We're probably gonna have to score quite a few to support our "ace." Hey leave him alone. He's an all star pitcher.

Dontrelle and Hafner have already hit slams today. Time for Dye to join them.

This could be a fun inning here. Lester seems quite wild.

We are very close to having only 1 starting pitcher with an ERA below 4.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 07:46 PM) The ball Ortiz hit out was put middle in and at the belt, it was called for low and away. yep, good to see Widger forcing Buehrle to miss his spots. The numbers don't lie. His CERA is not good.

Nice to see Widge setting up outside exclusively. Should be a short outing by Mark.

Widger = lots of runs given up by White Sox pitching.

Loudest Stadiums in MLB
I was at a game a couple years ago at Pac Bell (Not sure what it's called now). They were playing the Dodgers on a Monday night with Jason Schmidt on the bump. Was a very close game and they announced that it was the largest crowd to date at the park. Needless to say, the place was very loud. SF won 5-3 iirc.

Gameday + Baseball Fights + Question + Cubs/Sox-Brawl
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 01:35 PM) Hey guys, Was anyone "watching" via GameDay that day? D'you know what it said when Barrett punched Pierzynski and the battle began? I had it going on my laptop but was so wrapped up with the tv I forgot what it had said. More than likely "delay on field".

I'm pretty much done with Javier Vazquez.
When I read the title I thought Steve9347 was breaking up with him or something.

2006 White Sox Catch-All Thread
BTW was last night the first Thome chant at USCF? Before his 4th AB the crowd began a "Tho-me! Tho-me!" chant. It's the first one I've heard in person at the park this year. Was pretty cool.

QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 09:59 AM) I'd say: one more chance. I was thinking that about 10 appearances ago.

JD in the HR Derby
QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 10:54 AM) ...I just think the White Sox will start to look at Sweeney or even possibly Fields next year... Hopefully to play LF. Dye can stay.
