  1. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 10:04 PM) Write a lot. Write whenever you can. Not only is it important to just have a good volume of content, but it's a great way to get better as a writer. What are you thinking about writing about? Was thinking about doing a vegan blog focusing on food, men's fashion, news, and maybe even some sports. Lets face it. There aren't a ton of vegan men out there in the world and I want some of them to have an outlet and see that people like me exist. And we're not all a bunch of pine cone eating hippies. The Discerning Brute is a bit of an inspiration but he focuses primarily on fashion most of the time. And if qwerty and Kalapse come up with a baseball blog the world would become a better place.
  2. Hopefully Capps comes in and lays an egg in the 9th.
  3. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 09:55 PM) I like Sarah Kustok. She likes you too.
  4. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 09:55 PM) coop can fix em I think Ozzie should make him wear a magic cape from now on.
  5. QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 09:53 PM) Hey Balta, was Jackson good enough tonight for ya? That 0.96 ERA in the AL isn't good enough. Man we have found a diamond in the rough! Nice hitting tonight as well. Time to beat the s*** out of the Yankees.
  6. Rangers cut into the lead. Now 6-4 in the 8th.
  7. **clears throat while ignoring team finances**
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 09:40 PM) Sweet, power from Rios! If his power stroke is back we are going to have a fun September.
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 09:23 PM) Alexei got screwed there. Strike 1 was a ball. "That call will probably change the course of the season" -- Hawk
  10. Rangers trying to make a late rally. Down 6-1 with a couple runners on in the 7th.
  11. Cowley: Vizquel left the game with an upset stomach. Day to day.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 09:00 PM) Excellent play by Beckham there. And Buehrle would be my #4 pick for the ideal rotation based on how he performs against big hitting teams. I'd normally agree but he really came through in the 2005 post season. But then again that was 5 years ago.
  13. Based on what we've seen so far, what would our ideal rotation be if we were to make the playoffs?
  14. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 07:00 PM) He should have had at least most. Kotsay has been a bucket of suck. Not really. Jones has been awful against RHP. Ideally (given our roster) he'd be part of a nice platoon at DH and RF with Quentin and a healthy Teahen.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 04:11 PM) The reason it's not circumcised is the 2004 Mehlman led campaign.
  16. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 04:08 PM) That was two years ago. 2004 looked like a nice year for an anti-gay platform. I think that this debate will finally end since the poll results turned out to be a huge penis when plotted on a graph.
  17. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 25, 2010 -> 01:25 PM) But he has a well documented history of never doing the research on his own. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 25, 2010 -> 02:39 PM) This. It's fine to ask questions, but you also have to bring some of your own research to the table once in a while. I rest my case.
  18. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 03:12 PM) WHERE THE f*** IS KOTSAY?!?!?! Hopefully bagging groceries at Trader Joe's.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 03:06 PM) Overall I just don't like him or his approach and hope he's playing for Washington next season along with Kotsay and Linebrink. I have to agree with this statement.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 02:53 PM) I merely agreed with the original poster and said it was a mistake to bring him in, that he was a ridiculous acquisition. And you do realize that our 4th outfielder that rarely plays has the same number of HRs as our everyday #3 hitter, right? All for pretty much peanuts that we're paying him. What were you looking to acquire for $500K? An elite closer?
