  1. It's too bad that Danksy has problems pitching deep into most games. He seems to be at or near 100 pitches in the 5th or 6th too often.
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 02:34 PM) Yeah I do. I sometimes forget and get carried away and overdo it. I do like Getz, though. Can I ask why? I'm looking at his numbers and they're pretty awful. Worse than Teahen's numbers.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 02:31 PM) The Royals announcers are ripping this crew now. Hilarious. I may get ripped for this, but I might rather have Getz than Teahen on my team. We get it. You hate Teahen.
  4. QUOTE (WinorDie88 @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 02:28 PM) We should only be sending Pierre, Ramirez, Beckham, Rios, and Lillibridge. No one else. Just adding to our ML leading CS numbers. The next closest team is nowhere near us.
  5. Lets keep running out of innings. Loving Ozzieball.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 09:37 AM) [/b] There is about zero chance of that happening. When is the last time that Ozzie got a ton of praise for anything he did right? Not to mention, if we are talking about a move that no one has ever done before, that makes it literally an impossible standard. I'd find it hard to believe that no one would be impressed that he saved Jackson from missing a start.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 09:28 AM) I'd be curious to hear if any manager has ever done that. I sure don't remember it happening. Maybe. Maybe not. It would be a damn smart move though and we'd all be praising Ozzie if he did that.
  8. White Sox third baseman Mark Teahen left Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader after bruising his right middle finger while fielding a ground ball. X-Rays were negative.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 01:59 AM) Sqwert, then why play him at all if you are going to f***ing play lefty/lefty crap in the fifth inning? You don't understand. I agree DO NOT EVER PLAY KOTSAY. But if you do have to play him ,you are saying he is a major league starter, and major league starters in the AL don't get pinch hit for in the fifth inning. Sir, they don't. It's that simple. It's funny that everyone following the game expected him to get pinch hit for as did the Twins broadcast booth which includes former MLB players. It's getting to the point that if Ozzie made Kotsay our everyday 3rd hitter you'd find a reason to defend him. He just can't do anything wrong in your eyes. You've got an excuse lined up for every single questionable decision he's made all year. I'm starting to think you're Ozzie Jr.
  10. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 07:57 AM) f***ing pathetic blowing a 5-1 lead in game one of the split. This is not a playoff team. Our playoff is on 8/29 when we play the Yankees and retire Frank's number. Season is over after that. Probably before that really.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 01:51 AM) I just heard TODAY that the forecast was for the game to be OK starting at 10 f***ing p.m. ... Ozzie should have magically known the game would be called so he should start Liney?? Are you insane? So let me get this straight. They thought that by 10 PM the weather would clear up to play? Then why warm up Jackson at 6:30 and let him pitch to 2 batters? If for some insane reason, which actually did occur, the ump decides to start the game minutes before a major storm was about to hit then why warm up Jackson at all? Throw in a scrub for those 10 minutes of game time and when the weather MIGHT clear several hours later and it looks on the radar that they'll get in in then you could warm up Jackson. But I know....this is some sort of insane rationale. It's using the technological tools available to any Tom, Dick or Harry so lets just waste a pitcher for no reason. There's no magic involved Greg. Just readily available data that they've effectively used many times in the past.
  12. Total disappointment. We had a golden opportunity to gain a game against Minnesota.
  13. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 01:10 AM) 2Am, some at 3AM You must be in the burbs. There are some 5am spots in the city.
  14. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 01:08 AM) Well, technically, it would be a blown win, not save. That would be a feat for Putz. A blown save and a blown win in one outing.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 01:05 AM) Yep, I came to that realization maybe 2 weeks ago. With Rios becoming a slap hitter, it's Konerko/Quentin or bust. Now that's what I call an ideal AL lineup. One or two power hitters and a few slap hitters with low OBP.
  16. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 01:04 AM) So who loses the game next inning? is Jenks gonna lose two games in one night? Gotta be a record. Putz will come out again to give up another 2.
  17. Take the bat out of the hands of one of our best hitters tonight, Excellent.
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 12:59 AM) Pena deserved a W. As did Freddy.
  19. As far as I'm concerned the season finale is next Sunday when they retire Frank;s number.
  20. We go from one of the best bullpens around to the absolute worst in no time.
