  1. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 18, 2010 -> 01:25 PM) This is the type of park Juan Pierre would thrive in. Exactly. He's a terrible fit for USCF.
  2. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 18, 2010 -> 01:19 PM) Only cause we don't have a prospect like that We did until he got hurt.
  3. QUOTE (hogan873 @ May 18, 2010 -> 01:13 PM) It's the sideways world. On the island it's 6-0 Tigers. Maybe we'll see a polar bear run across the field later with the grounds crew chasing it.
  4. WTF is going on here?! Is this a tie in to Lost? Are we watching an alternate reality?
  5. Today is the turning point of the season. The bats are awakening!
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 18, 2010 -> 12:59 PM) You've never heard of the country Bolivia? Of course I have. Never heard of fading into Bolivian though.
  7. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 18, 2010 -> 12:58 PM) always wise to walk a guy ahead of miggy A recipe for success.
  8. QUOTE (docsox24 @ May 18, 2010 -> 12:57 PM) I hope I am wrong but I think Jones is going to fade into Bolivian. I see him ending up around .240 with 20+ homers. You learn a new term every day on Soxtalk.
  9. It's nice to have so many steals that don't amount to any actual runs.
  10. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 18, 2010 -> 12:17 PM) Link? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/05/17/b...i_n_578803.html
  11. QUOTE (TitoMB @ May 18, 2010 -> 12:18 PM) Worst team in the history of baseball.
  12. QUOTE (TitoMB @ May 18, 2010 -> 12:17 PM) Lol. this team is awful. They're not fun to watch at all.
  13. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 18, 2010 -> 11:56 AM) Midseason, I just don't know what it accomplishes aside from pointing a finger. I'm not trying to defend Walker here, I just think the effect of pitching/hitting coach changes mid-year is generally overblown. And it probably is but it's long overdue.
  14. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 18, 2010 -> 11:53 AM) God...how could this season get any worse? First it's the neck issues with our better hitters and now this. Nothing ever happens to Randy Williams or any other DFA candidate on our team.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 18, 2010 -> 11:51 AM) Biggest difference between 2005 and this team is that I feel like this team has lost more games when tied or leading heading into the 7th inning than the 2005 team did all season. Having one of the greatest bullpens ever makes any manager look good and hides the offensive struggles a team might have. Plus we did a great job of coming back late in games as well. Aside from the Seattle series this team doesn't do much late in the game.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 18, 2010 -> 11:48 AM) When you fire a manager and allow him to bring in his own staff. I'd just go with abysmal performance from your entire lineup minus 1 or 2 players.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 18, 2010 -> 11:47 AM) Really? That team was 9th in the AL in offense at the end of the year, they're 11th in 2010. Carl Everett hit 3rd for most of the year. Jermaine Dye and Paul Konerko started off the season in slumps that would fit in well with this team. This current team is on pace for 192 home runs; that team hit 200. 9th in what? Batting average?
