  1. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 10:41 PM) nothing like good ole soxtalk overreaction i know we havent been good offensively at all, but you realize we are facing rauch in the bottom of the inning, right? You do realize he is facing our offense, right?
  2. Alexei at SS and Teahan at 3rd does not exude championship caliber defense.
  3. 1-3 to start the season and Freddy is going tomorrow. Awesome.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 10:21 PM) Beckham's on! Excellent AB. Time for Q to bunt.
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 05:53 PM) Tigers off to the hot start now too, 3-1 on the year after beating the Indians at home. If Dontrelle Willis is actually going to be a serviceable pitcher again, that team looks a lot more dangerous. Apparently the Indians pitching staff isn't so dominating after all.
  6. QUOTE (qwerty @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 03:49 PM) Some people forget 2007 even transpired. I've had several shock therapy sessions to help me forget that year.
  7. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 02:12 PM) I have never heard a baseball player say this. I have, however heard many say the exact opposite. I didn't realize you did a scientific study on this. I'd like to look at your detailed findings.
  8. QUOTE (hammerhead johnson @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 02:10 PM) Trust me when I say that he is at least a thousand times the baseball man that you could ever be. I wasn't trying to make the case that I'm a better baseball guy than he is. He is a lousy manager in the grand scheme of things IMO.
  9. In honor of our awful offense I'll be eating a bundt cake during the game.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 02:06 PM) Oh how you make me laugh... That wasn't an iPad dig btw.
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 01:59 PM) This is so stupid, i can't believe we are arguing sacrificing beckham twice in the late innings as a good move. No kidding. Only a buffoon with no knowledge of who was on first, who was at the plate, and who was up next would make the safe call and go with the bunt. Why is Ozzie even there? They could just use an iPad in the dugout and punch in the game situation into some generic baseball app to tell them to bunt.
  12. Just bring your desktop with keyboard, mouse, and printer and hook it up to a gas powered generator.
  13. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 01:36 PM) After giving this some thought... I think CQ at DH would be a really bad idea. The way this guy stews and gets pissed after even a single swing...imagine him having to sit for 2 innings stewing over a bad at bat.... This whole 'stewing' thing is being overplayed. We don't really know if it would adversely affect his at bats. It might be more stress relieving to hang out with the rest of the bench players and joke around in between at bats than to 'stew' out in the OF all alone.
  14. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 11:49 AM) For sure if our hitting woes continue Walker must go, idc that it is not his fault or not. Y For once I can't blame it on Walker. Look at the lineup. It's terrible.
  15. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 11:10 AM) We need better hitters. The Twins lineup looks like murderers row compared to what we're trotting out there. There's going to be a lot of pressure on our pitchers this weekend.
  16. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 10:02 AM) I'm guessing Elena Kagan, but what do I know... I hope you're wrong.
  17. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 10:13 AM) Man what can be done with Teahen if he does suck? Could he even be traded? Probably not.
  18. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 09:58 AM) I just hope he puts someone in that will defend corporations. They currently get no love. The U.S. Supreme Court...brought to you by Carls Jr.
