  1. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) You still suck!!! Too bad you arent goin tonight, I will be in full swing in the tailgate. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ok well see how much those tix meant to you. please stand up in the top of the 2nd inning after the 1st guy gets out and then after they announce the name of the next batter...please yell out "SOXTALK" AS FREAKING LOUD AS YOU CAN! I will be listening like a mofo. we will see how much fox covers up the crowd. anaheim will have the thundersticks just waiting for us in anaheim. what does comiskey provide us???? WTF!
  2. QUOTE(Heartattack19 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 11:12 AM) This game was the loudest i was at. When Chone Figgins bobbled Carl's squib liner, it went nuts. The only thing that even comes close was when Crede hit the Walkoff Homer against the Indians in the 10th a few weeks ago. Did seem like the Upper Deck was filled with the hardcore fans while the lower bowl was much more reserved <{POST_SNAPBACK}> exactly my points 1. it is always better to have 15,000 hardcore fans near the rails 2. dont invite your freakin wife or girl; bad behavior in front of her = no rumpty 3. no kids please; they will get their turns 4. must have bags under your eyes and sport worn out gear 5. unlimited beer money 6. batteries in hand 7. ABSOLUTELY NO CORPORATE ATTENDEES PLEASE 8. MOST IMPORTANT: MUST CARRY A RADIO TO LISTEN TO HOME SIDE 9. STAND UP IDIOTS! IT HASNT HAPPENED IN 88 year? 10. the organ needs to be rockin like old comisky!
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 10:24 AM) Could you have ever imagined after being at the game last night that someone would blame the crowd for a loss? It might not have been at the same level as the Red Sox games, but it was still one of the loudest crowds I've ever been around. It simply baffles me that someone would blame the crowd. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The atmosphere was dead during our ingame atbats the first 3 innings. Of course swinging at shiftingdickpaulbyrdwhonearlyshatinyankeestadium first pitches and mowing down the sox in less than time it takes a davidfatasswellstoeatachicagostylepizza didnt help the crowd just sit there like sittingduckswithpartyhatsuptheirbutts.
  4. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 10:22 AM) You are: baffled, bewildered, confused, dazed, disconcerted, dumbfounded, dumbstruck, flustered, gone, gonzo, misled, puzzled, spaced out, stupefied, stumped, uncomprehending, etc. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> very clever! i like this! someone please make the call for me 800 SOX HELPME HOLY COW!
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 10:06 AM) The crowd was extremely loud at the start of the game, and the team came out flatter than Mary-Kate Olsen. To blame the crowd for the lack of execution is flat out pathetic. You do know that the crowd can't force a player to use proper fundamentals, don't you? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To not blame the crowd is flat out pathetic. I saw a rattled Paul Byrd in Yankee stadium. He was happy to leave the game! He couldn't handle the pressure of pitching in such an awesome stage. After Sheffield hit the deep fly to end the threat he nearly shat his pants. Scioscia sensed it & got em the hell outta there. There was no such hostility last night. So to blame the crowd for our lack of execution is flat out pathetic but we didnt jump Byrdass at all! TO ME THAT WAS THE DIFFERENCE IN THE GAME & THUS THE SOLE REASON WE LOST THE DAMN GAME. I am done. AGAIN!
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 09:36 AM) I hope you're joking about the crowd. If you're being serious, then that might have been the most memorable post I've ever seen on this site. Did the crowd make our hitters forget how to bunt? Did our crowd make our base running suck? Did our crowd make some members of our infield play like they're back in high school? Again, if you were being sarcastic, then I take back everything I said. If you're being serious, then get a grip. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Emotion is a big intangible that is difficult to measure. I have lived the sox for over 27 years now and i am 36, that is the absolute worst crowd i can ever remember. ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN PATHETIC. I can forgive the team for the miscues last night. They were all physical errors. They came in flat from the days off. They didn't seem arrogant or overconfident. JC was better than JC and the only mental error really wasnt that mental on JCs DP attempt that backfired. THE ONE THING I KNOW IS THAT FROM THE BEGINNING THE CROWD HAD A CHOICE TO SHOW THE TEAM THEY WOULDN'T ACCEPT THE POSSIBILITY OF THE TEAM LOSING! EVEN WHEN THEY FREAKIN GOT DOWN THE CROWD SHOULDVE GOT EVEN ANGRIER! I DONT KNOW HOW OLD YOU ARE BUT THE OLD COMISKEY WOULDVE SEEN ALOT OF SPILT BEER! & NO FREAKING CORPWIFES WOULDVE BEEN THERE! now i am done ranting about the crowd. it just pisses me off like no other! i bet you were sitting there just itchin to yell out...come you freakin crowd....get up and lets have a party here! IT IS PARTY TIME IN CHITOWN GDAMNIT! DO I NEED TO SEND YOU A VIDEO OF WHAT THEY DO IN BRAZIL FOR THEIR BELOVED TEAM?
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 09:21 AM) As someone who was there, the crowd was still cheering when the team was down. It's just that some of our hitting innings went by so fast, it was hard to really get into it. I find this thread amusing considering all the attendance/fan issues we've had in the past. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> FATHOM it isn't amusing at all. I just woke up and still am so pissed at the crowd. THE SOLE reason we lost that freakin game was the crowd. THEY SUCKED! NO EXCUSES PERIOD! Pissed off. Couldnt listen to the postgame show was so disappointed. PLEASE GOD ONLY 15K tonight! BTW we missed your posting on the forum last night....

  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 08:59 PM) I should say...I have a heavy bias towards pitching. In October it gets cold and offense seems to shrivel up and die. Usually a team that can play some defense, scrounge up a couple runs on offense, and pitch the ball can do really well. Last season the BoSox had some bats, but they also had two of the best of all time on the mound (Schilling and Pedro) and a really good closer (Foulke). Basically put I rated all my teams on pitching and the BoSox were the one team without an ace and while Timlin and that kid (looked damn good to me) are solid, that is everything the BoSox had pitching wise. Clement had been horrid the 2nd half, Wakefield is solid (nothing special though) and the Sox hit him well, Wells is eh (although he'd been good down the stretch) and Schilling is just a shadow of his old self. I'm harsh on them, but I think the Yanks had a better pitching staff and thats why I gave them the nod up in the AL. To be honest I thought both were pretty bad teams and I really didn't think either of them had a shot (but in a 5 game series anything is possible). But thats me and like I say, I have an extreme bias towards pitching. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you are correct in my opinion. but i would say that Arod sucks big cahunas and the yankee fans probably would love to trade crede for him. he dont do jack for them in 2 years man...........he doesnt even swing. at least crede will take a rip.
  10. will someone please forward this thread to dumbass fox so that they can start a controversy over whether or not the RALLY CREDE IS A STUPID SUPERSITION OR EVEN IF SUPERSTITIONS ARE STUPID. AND THEN THEY CAN FREAKIN ASK OZZIE THAT QUESTION. I WOULD DIE TO SEE THE LOOK ON HIS FACE. last note from me. i couldnt listen to postgame show. but i know that OZZIE is deflecting all the negatives of the team on himself. i really WORSHIP him for that. he really has the clubhouse in order. hopefully MB will come out smoking tomorrow. seriously lets hope for 15k in attendance. less corporate wives and more REAL f***IN WHITESOX FANS PLEASE LIKE SOUTHSIDEIRISH & THE BULL & THE REESSTTT OF US IDIOTS HERE! Its just a stupid game. BTW i drove a hall of fame RB mistress in the limo yesterday. she had to leave the hotel before the wife flew into town. these athletes all suck big balloons anyway.
  11. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) Defenitely. But its not like we got clobbered or anything. We ca bounce back from this easily, especially at home. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it is better to be clobbered than to clobber yourself. that is exactly what we did tonight. STARTED WITH THE CROWDS BS! now anaheim really isn't that tired yet. have you ever drank redbull after redbull? you never really get tired even though you haven't slept. but after you finally hit the wall and sleep when you wake up your body is just not there. that means that when anaheim goes back home i expect them to look tired. PROBLEM IS THAT THEIR CROWD ISN'T GOING TO BE A BUNCH OF CORPSES IN THE STANDS and could carry them for a while longer. my worst fear is that we continue to give games away & then ANA shows how tired they are in the WS. god please dont let that happen. I REALLY BLAME THE CROWD FOR NOT JUMPING ON THEIR ASSES! I AM SO PISSED AT COMISKEY RIGHT NOW! THEY BETTER COME JACKED TOMORROW! IF NOT THEN THAT QUITE DEAD WILL SET IN THAT SETS IN IN CHICAGO JUST LIKE AFTER BARTMAN! YOU CAN JUST SENSE IT MAN IT REALLY IS A SLOW f***ING DEATH! WHERE ARE THE PISTONS FANS WHEN YOU NEED EM? THEY FREAKIN WENT TO LAKERS HOTEL AND KEPT EM AWAKE ALLNIGHT!
  12. QUOTE(Reddy @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 08:08 PM) whatever. it was created by a bunch of us at soxtalk (who are all harcore fans) just for fun. and thats all it is - fun. so you can quit all your s*** <{POST_SNAPBACK}> this is very true. let it all rest. if it works it works. the bull was just lettin you guys have it because you were in the way of this teams disastrous give away. JC was & has been are only real warrior down the stretch. Without him we wouldn't have even came close to the playoffs. this is the script that we all wanted to avoid. all the freakin whatifs.
  13. QUOTE(Reddy @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 08:04 PM) you do know that the rally crede was started by hard core fans doncha...? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> sorry didn't want to question that. but a chisox guy who sat at old comiskey drinking all night and swinging at the other teams fans doesnt start a rally crede.
  14. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 08:03 PM) WHy let Crede hit, I would rather see Blum up there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> this is a good point.
  15. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 08:01 PM) Well, it is down to Crede. How about a nice round of f*** THE STUPID RALLY CREDE> IT IS s***. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> lets the kids have their fun! it worked for the angels. you & i know the real hard core fan thinks that rally crede is a hoax. i am with you BULL!
  16. we are still a better team. we will right the ship in this series. we had a chance to get them outta our heads with a rowdy crowd. they really killed me tonight. that started it all in my opinion.
  17. we are guessing completely wrong tonight. i could use a 2run dinger from the BULL right now. WHERE IS RON KITTLE DAMNIT!
  18. I JUST WANT TO TOSS IT UP! LET HIM FREAKIN RIP THE BALL!
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) We split there this year. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> for the record i attended the 2 loses and stayed home for the 2 winners.
  20. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) So, this is how the Red Sox felt when absolutely nothing works out for your team, and seemingly every opportunity to score is squandered. Again, this is pathetic. And disgraceful. Pods can thank himself for failing to put down a bunt when it was needed. This game would have been tied. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the ball was hit too hard uribe wouldve been tossed at home by vladdy. he has a cannon. hell he couldn't even go to 3rd. + he shouldve slapped something either down 1st or 3rd.
  21. yup! happens everytime. PK vs nimrod here we go. we have no sense of urgency in this game. we don't look like gamers. and all this started with the crowd. i will gladly eat crow.
  22. of course he will walk him and then nimrod will come in to face PK
