  6. that is a bunch of BS! it isnt classy at all. IT IS JUST POLITICALLY CORRECT! do you think for one minute they reallly give a hoot about the WhiteSox? if anything this is free marketing for the scrubs and wrigley foold their "we wanna hit" chanting fans. nice try but i dont buy it. why would the cubs congratulate the sox but not the SF Giants or Toronto BJ's? they just are bringing attention to their sorry asses!
  7. XM satellite radio is giving a coupon good for a free XM roady for all of those who attend game 1 in Chicago.
  8. well this is an easy call to make! STL. 2 reasons only! 1. Mark Greasywanker - 2nd Bagger 2. Julian Tavarez - Bullpen blower Both used to be on the CUBS! Lets look at the other guys who helped us get to the WS: 1. Matt Clement (BOS) former cub 2. Jeremy Gonzalez (BOS) former cub 3. Tony Gaffanino (BOS) former sox 4. Josh Paul (ANA) former sox
  9. i am not surprised with the performance of the whitesoxmanager! he deserves all the credit! HA HA HA
  10. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) Maybe Hawk is superstitious enough to think that if he doesnt watch the game in Florida, the Sox might lose. i know I get all kinds of crazy non-realistic superstitions stuck in my head in the playoffs <{POST_SNAPBACK}> this is exactly where i was thinking....i'll bet a million to one this is the reason.

  15. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 09:51 AM) If you're not on hold already guys, don't even try to call. I've called almost all fifty states several times. The phone is done. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> did you try to call GUAM?
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 05:32 PM) I haven't looked, but I'd guess hotel prices could get jacked up with the Sox in the series (don't know how many people are traveling in). Of course typically weekend rates are cheaper because the business travelers are usually at home. Sometimes a great place to look or call is a Hyatt or one the nicer hotels that cater to business people. They tend to be very expensive during the week, but they usually are wide open on weekends and sometimes you can end up getting awesome rooms at a great price (just because a lot of people don't even consider checking with them when trying for a room). I know I"ve stayed at Hyatts (in Pittsburgh and Phoenix area) for as low as 49 a night on a weekend. Not saying it will be that in Chicago, but you never know. Priceline is always a good bet in Chicago too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hotel? Are you kidding? Chicago is the singles capital of the world. Just get your ass on the dance floor in any number of the hot clubs or bars & of course score with some hot cubs chick and sleep at her place. Take a dumper in her toilet and make sure she makes you bfast in bed. And then break the news that you are a SOX fan from Cali and she will fall in love. SURFS UP DUDE! MORE OF hi8is and less of them!
  17. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) were you the one with stripes down your face? If so I was standing near you behind the dugout celebration! Wish I would've known - how fun was that?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Ginger Kid I cant wait to meet you!
  18. QUOTE(HighHeat45 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) Anyone see the lady in the Angels jersey and angels paint on her face in the front row of all the sox fans still at the game. WTF was she doing? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So I decided to stay and hug, slap five, chest bump, rub nucks with each & every Sox fan that finally was forced to leave the stands. Guess who was the next to last person leaving? THAT CRAZY ANGELS BEAAATCHH! She was off the hook with stumbles & mumbles. I think she was so torched that some Angels fan gave her the jerz to wear becuz she was cold and didn't know it was ANA gear. She was so bombed that the whole lineup of security pushing the line of sox fans out....well they just left her alone. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WENT TO THE GAMES IN ANAHEIM...YES IT WAS THE WHITESOXMANAGER who was police escorted out the STADIUM.
  19. BONE CHILLING! I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER! HELL F IN YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. YOU CAN PUT THAT VIDEO ON THE BOARD!
  20. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 11:10 AM) Do that and you'll get in. The last thing those assholes want to do is use the tickets for toilet paper.. you're not going to get them at face.. but a reasonable $100 or $200 I would say is likely. The longer you wait, the lower the price. If I didn't have tickets that's exactly what I would do. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> there is absolutely no way to get a ticket for under 5 bills for this game from a scalper. those scalpersuckfaceticketers will be gone by wednesday night & they will be lining the liquor stores for months to come with the loot tripping on us with "you got a quarter BS?!" to think that the ALCS tix went for $50/seat in the upper over home plate. WHAT A FREAKIN STEAL!
  21. my old man is a cubs fan & didnt even call to congratulate the entire ALCS. that is why hanging with everyone in anaheim for the 3 game set whom i didnt know for one minute was so extra special. this is a time for the real fans to hang & revel! American League! BTW WGN is abdisimal. THEY HAD COOKIE SHOW ON THE 12:30 news? F THEM! I CANT WAIT THE UPCOMING WEEK!
  22. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 09:32 AM) What can I say that hasn't been said? For 40+ years I've been a die hard fan of this team. Every spring I was filled with hope. I remember losing to Yanks in '64 by 1 game. I remember the collapse against the Senators and the A's in '67. I distinctly remembering that we lost to a rookie named Blue Moon Odom! Damn, that sucked. I remember the excitement generated by Bill Veeck's Southside Hit Men in '77, only to have reality rear it's ugly head once again. I remember Britt Burns pitching his ass off, only to have Jerry Dubzinski screw up at second base in '83. I remember losing to Jays in'93 and losing the opportunity in '94. I remember hoping beyond hope that our shell of a pitching staff could pull of a miracle in '00. I'll always remember the '05 Sox. Finally, after all these years, I'll get to see MY White Sox in the World Series! I cannot put into words how I feel right now. My father called me after the last out ... He put me on speaker phone so my mother and sister could hear the conversation. I have to tell you, folks. During that conversation, I'm bawling! I'm still at a loss for words about this. Just the most totally awesome feeling I have ever experienced short of watching my sons being born. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> SOMEBODY GRAB YASNY SOME FREAKIN WS TICKETS!
