good question! i definitely have to say this years Chicago White Sox. the reasons are quite simple. first of all, even the diehard fans have been all over pop-up PK, get rid of crede for joe randa, jose contreras getting booed AGAIN and rumored in every trade possibility, damaso marte X'd, uribe & everett suck they swing at everything and have no clue or patience, gooch is too tired, hermy a questionable closer, arow is not a 3hole hitter, pods is not clutch & his injury now means 0 steals, jermaine dye is dead. every day it was something new & unwarranted criticism. not to mention the way the media handles this team as the second team in the second city? THE WAY THIS TEAM HAS BONDED TOGETHER LIKE FAMILY AND DEALT WITH ALL THE ADVERSITY IS CHAMPION ENOUGH. Not to mention that our Sox team is a diversified mix of nations & languages but each and every guy has charisma is humble & respects the game, fans and has heartfelt warmth for each other. the 85 bears were not as invincible as people thought. the miami dolphins exposed a huge weekness but it never again was tested in the playoffs. the giants & rams were running teams that we ezily crushed backward. it was exciting as all hell to see Walter get a SB ring, but to end the game with him not getting the TD call over the Fridge will forever be the saddest moment of my life and the last memory i have of that year. i still dont forgive ditka for that. the look on his face was flat out heartbreaking!

personally i dont care about the ratings. what i care about is the coverage and how good the coverage is. i watch every worldseries game every year. i am a baseball fan. comparing tv ratings is stupid. i hope that fox & espn lose their shorts with us winning the WS. btw the coverage has been decent. the announcers on fox suck. they really havent dug into either city in my opinion. they just yuck, yuck, yuck about the mic. the media has never given us love. i will say the only empire that has had the sox back is Las Vegas. we were still favored to win the AL pennant even as the season neared its end and it looked like cleveland was coming and ANA, NY & BOS were starting to roll. to me if you want intelligence about a team you simply check the oddsmakers lines for respect.

against all odds: 1. we had 3 errors to 1 2. we didnt score first 3. we walked 12 disastros 4. we were +160 to win the game 5. geoff homeblum is the second player to hit a WS homer in extra innings in his 1st at bat 6. who was going to pitch next if they tied it?

I got a call from Glenn T Regan from the Houston Disastrodome in the 14th inning. That crazy soxfan has now gone from ANA for the 3 game set. Back to Chicago & scalped tix for the 2. Then boarded a plane and called me from the freakin park before the most beautiful 14th. he is living in AZ. what an awesome fan! my hat is off to that dude! MORE OF US & LESS OF THEM!

I am so happy for Damaso. He was my next Mariano with the stuff he had & his competitive attitude before Jerry Manuel screwed with his mind. He had virtually lost all his confidence & it is so nice that he wins a WS game. I am not the least surprised that both Jose Contreras & Damaso Marte have won WS games. I never jumped on either of these guys. It makes me feel so proud of the both of em. Even though DM walked some guys and probably wouldve been punished if it were an AL team. Still this is awesome that he put a smile on all of our faces. I doubt very much that he will be back in a whitesox uni next year. I tell you what thou I am going to root for him assuming he goes somewhere else.

the one thing that everyone is overlooking is the fact that JG will really only be facing 7 men in the lineup instead of the gruelling 9 he is accustomed to. this is a big advantage for him and all our pitchers in Houston. lets face it the 8 hole hitters in the NL suck & then comes the pitcher. so even if the 8 hole hitter comes up with men on base & 2 outs. walk em. and then go after the pitch. the team that is losing the games late will end up with a virtual DH lineup anyway while in the NL park. i just wanna say that the entire NL SUCKS MONKEYCOK! i do believe that the Disastros were shut out 17x this past season.
