  1. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I love Jorge Cantu. indeed... jose valentine doubles josh paul gets thrown out at 3rd....
  2. meaningless stat: rowand is on 2nd and maggs is on 1st.....
  3. i envy JC! the way he dealt with adversity & the way he deals with success is of leadership quality to say the least. we are very fortunate to have witnessed this man!
  4. Ozzie represents himself, his family, his country of Venezuela, the WhiteSox organization and alot of former Sox players & coaches with his words....thats all....is it ok for a 11 year old sox fan to yell the same obscenities aimed at the sox dugout for poor play & good games? i dont think so!
  5. IMO Ozzie needs to be reprimanded for his obscenity laced tired yesterday. He definitely needs to apologize!! I will be surprised if he isnt fined by the organization. What is he thinking with all the obscenity? I dont have children but if I did.....well I would be pretty disappointed. Ozzie is in a leadership position in more ways than one...he must be reminded of it.
  6. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 21, 2006 -> 11:15 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> wow I had no choice, Sox fan or the f***in highway for me. get on base to harass him pods my dad is a cubs fan. we used to go to cubs games together until age 9. i got extremely bored and the cubs never seemed tough "we wanna hit" chant was rediculous. then i found jimmy & harry. i truly owe it all to them. the rest was history. i became a sox fan thru the radio feeds. i think the first 3 years i never even saw a game on tv, basically because there were no broadcasts in bloomington, il. i felt screwed over the strike years actually quite pissed. last year i never really got to enjoy it because i was just waiting for us to blow it. after yesterday i am so glad with my decision to be a loyal sox fan.
  7. i love being a whitesox fan! i feel like a kid again today! yesterday reminded me of the reasons i chose to be a sox fan!
  8. From Yahoo Article: "As Pierzynski went back to the dugout, he raised his hands in the air while a soldout crowd at U.S. Cellular Field roared. He slapped hands with his teammates. Minutes after the game resumed, the White Sox's Tadahito Iguchi hit a grand slam to give his team a 5-0 lead. "I think the fight is going to bring us together and (make us) tougher," White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said."
  9. thome needs to be commended for his absolute bust ass hustle running to first EVERY TIME!
  10. that was a very fun game to watch!!!! i love the whitesox!
  11. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2006 -> 01:07 PM) Nobody would have expected Ozuna to be successful in his attempt to get back. But, you have to try and force them to actually make the play. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> this is basic elementary fundamental baseball...ty YASNY for having my back and proving the point.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ May 7, 2006 -> 12:48 PM) No offense manager, but you're wrong here. The last thing a runner on 3rd can do in that situation is be tentative. If the squeeze is called, it's either going to work or it's an easy, easy out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the issue is the effort back to 3rd not the suicide being tentative or not. by the time the pitcher caught it ozuna wasnt across home. he decided to take 3 more steps and give himself up. IMO he had time to make a play back at third. look im not on the field and maybe im wrong but little things matter!
  13. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 7, 2006 -> 12:44 PM) Ozuna was pretty much dead-to-rights. Calling for the squeeze was the mistake. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> he is dead to rights when he is out. look this is a very little thing but definitely something that ozzie will address to his team. he doesnt overlook even these little things. at least that is my take on how baseball should be played and the type of manager ozzie is.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ May 7, 2006 -> 12:29 PM) No chance. You have to commit to the guy getting the bunt down. That's why it's called a suicide. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> an out occurs in that situation when either the ball beats him back to the bag or he is tagged out. neither had happened when the ball was caught. with his speed he couldve at least forced a throw to third. we all know stranger things have happened. ask cub fans.
  15. ozuna should have at least attempted to get back to third...he gave up on that play....other than that he is a stud!
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 10:38 AM) Pods batting average is going to come close to the legal limit for blood-alcohol content pretty soon. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> no way dude....we all know too many chisox buddies that could double that limit!
  17. 2005 World Series Champion Chicago White Sox! Lets just say that our timing has been awesome. We won the games we needed to in order to become champs. Now we cant buy a break early. Its a long long long season. We have a very good team that barring injury will have another succesful season. Sit back and enjoy the long haul. You can see it on Pods face. He is frustrated right now. When he gets on we win, if he dont we probably wont.
  18. The crowd has been awesome to start the season!
  19. IF YOU DONT HAVE XMSR YET THEN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? ALL THE GAMES ALL YEAR LONG! WE ARE THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX WORLD CHAMPIONS! HELL YEAH!
  20. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 11:38 AM) 6 games on WGN is that usual or more than normal? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that is like more huger than luzinskis arms! 6x? wow that is v nice!
  21. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 05:23 PM) Who cares what these guys think? Preseason predictions, as we all saw last year, mean nothing. They're not even worth discussing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> this is true when you are an adult. but i remember when i was a kid this was very important. it is was so much fun for me to listen to what others thought was going to happen! now that i am 36 i could give a rats. but it definitely matters for the kids in my opinion. that makes it worth talking about.
